RHO Wheel spacers

installed the spacers over weekend and today when I drove it on highway I noticed there is slight vibration

anyone noticed this after install? tightened everything well so don't think its the spacers, is it possible since I made the track wider now different part of the tire tread is in contact with road? ... it's just weird
No vibration here...recheck and rotate tires.

Just added 1.5" Bora to mine and no vibration whatsoever.

noticed the vibration is strong only in the 67-74mph range, when I drive around the town and above 80 it's not noticable.. will try to contact Bora if they experienced this

Did you rotate tires to see if it persists? Possibly a wheel out of balance?

not with the OEM jack I got :D will stop at tireshop tomorrow if they have time to rotate it on walk-in

Bora sent me pretty interesting answer - asking if I'm sure the original studs are 100% cleared in the wheel pockets. This might be possible as I got the 1.25 spacers and didin't really check the clearance, although it looked ok to me (pocket deeper than studs)

Ahhh yeah that's a possibility...I went 1.5 for that reason.

Can you keep me updated on the issue and resolution. I want to go 1.25 in the front and 1.5 in the rear but hesitant.

On my ram bts I had 1.25 and 1.5 in rear with trx bead lock wheels with no issues. Also run same spacers on my trx for about 3 weeks with no issues until I got wheels.

Thats good to know! Which brand, Bora?

will keep you updated, took truck for roadtrip, sometimes it vibrates sometimes it doesn't, I guess it all depends on the road surface quality as well..

if I have time tomorrow I'll take the wheel off to see the clearance, and might take it to shop to rotate the wheels and balance them

so 1.25 spacers work with the OEM wheels!!.. when using the spacer, the studs stick out 8mm. The pockets of the OEM black wheel is 14.5mm

checked all the clearances of the spacer to the brake rotor, there wasn't any debris etc

BUT! seems to me they don't sit correctly on the hub.. it's a little play, but still it's there.. probably 0.5mm off.. can such small difference create a vibration? when I put the spacer on the wheel, there isn't play like this at all, the wheel matches the spacer's outside hub size perfectly

They must be hub centric spacers, or they wobble.

as you can see they definitely are hub centric, but not 100% lol ..

tomorrow I will try to go to shop to have the wheels rotated if that changes anything

Please keep us posted! I'm in the same boat. I've had the exact same spacers sitting in my garage for over a month now and just haven't had the time to get them installed. Your post had me a little worried though. I did my research over on the TRX forum before buying and found at least 3 different members confirming that the 1.25 clears without any issues, so hopefully it all works out.

I’ve seen lots of trucks running wheels spacers. I’ve also read warnings about the risks.

Not trying to rain on anybody’s parade, but are spacers bad? What’s the big deal?
You can either spend another 2-4k on offset wheels, or 2-400 on spacers. If you don't plan on going Baja/off-road/small jumps, and just want the aesthetic appeal for basic driving, spacers are fine, as long as they are quality material and hub-centric. You should re+check tomorrow and inspect them after the first 200 miles, then periodically.

The 1.25 did not sit correctly? Or is it just that specific spacer? I really want to go with 1.25 but if 1.5 is the safest route I rather be safe than sorry.

Pls read what I wrote. If you using OEM wheels they will clear the studs as there is another 6mm of clearance. 1.25 is totally fine

INFO: ok everyone, problem is SOLVED, no more vibrations. Wheels were totally out of balance. Went to shop, they rotated tires and balanced them.

They told me if wheels are out of balance even 0.25oz, you can feel vibration.. two were 0.75oz of and two were 1.5oz off!!

Interestingly, I didn't notice any vibrations before installing the spacers..

so:
1) don't worry, 1.25 spacers can be installed without any problems, IF you have OEM wheels or wheels with more than 8mm pockets
2) BORA spacers (maybe others as well) do not fit tightly on the hub. Tech from Motorsport-tech confirmed they make them bit larger as the spacers expand with heat generated by the rotors .. didn't think it would be so much play though..

Like to do spacers in 1.5 and 2.0 if no fitment modifications are needed. Anyone has this set up and please indicate what brand used.
