Nope, Roar Pedal only affects the throttle. Is this why @Wrinkled_Donut complains about “needing to stand on” his brake pedal? Because the gas pedal is ultra-sensitive, and the brake is factory setting?… or does the roar pedal modify both?
I can imagine it would feel terrible if one pedal is super sensitive and the other doesn’t match it.
I had a 2020 Ram and moved to a 2025 RHO. I don’t recall feeling any notable difference. I’d still go get it checked on if I were you.Nope, Roar Pedal only affects the throttle.
I complain about having to stand on the brake pedal because the brakes suck and I have to stand on the brake pedal lol. At least in my truck. Noticed it the first time I drove it, way before the Roar Pedal. Still going to have the dealership look at it one day, but like 5 other people mentioned the brake feel sucks- so I'm in no hurry. Probably just the way they are in these trucks. Then again, alot of people say their brakes are sensitive so who knows what's going on. I've just started to plan my stops a day in advance. Benefit is my right calf is getting jacked. Every stop feels like an "oh shit" stop, at least compared to my '22 Rebel. Those brakes were TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT (but it was a lighter truck).
I don't know anyone locally with an RHO to compare, maybe I'll test drive one somewhere.
I would definitely wait. Maybe till 1k.Also ordered one. I traded my 25 for a 26 and only have 200 miles on the new one. Should I wait with the installation till I hit the magic 500 miles and start burning rubber again?
Same. I had a 2022. I always thought the brakes were a little weak for a big truck on Rams but the feel is super similar to my 2022. Im also a "come off gas first, then brake" kinda guy. But definitely have them checked.I had a 2020 Ram and moved to a 2025 RHO. I don’t recall feeling any notable difference. I’d still go get it checked on if I were you.
Awesome thank you. Yea got the wrong one.I ordered directly from the manufacturer.View attachment 21069
So one thing I can tell you for sure is I've taken the truck to dealer a few times, removing both the CAT6 when I had it right around the time when my vacuum hose would pop off, and the JB4 now, and they have never told me anything about my truck was tuned before. So once you take it off they can run all diagnostics and you’ll be fine. My truck currently is at the dealer for the driver seat massager making noise and I removed my JB4 before taking it. Service advisor had a full diagnostics done and got OK’d.If this Mopar branded tuner isn't released by Jan 1st I'm just gonna say fuck it and order a Cat6
My buddy had the same experience with JB4 and service… and, his truck is nearly twice as fast as WD’s stock RHO, to bootSo one thing I can tell you for sure is I've taken the truck to dealer a few times, removing both the CAT6 when I had it right around the time when my vacuum hose would pop off, and the JB4 now, and they have never told me anything about my truck was tuned before. Yeah I do a few months back. The new connector color is now white and the bad one was grayMy buddy had the same experience with JB4 and service… and, his truck is nearly twice as fast as WD’s stock RHO, to boot
Did you ever get a new connector for that hose that was popping off?
Mine arrived. Looking at installing it, it appears that the connector is above the throttle pedal, and it's pretty far up there. Kinda tough to get big hands up there and figure out how to disconnect it. I assume I need to press a tab to get it loose. Any specific tips? Thanks in advance.
Thanks very much!View attachment 21137
Yeah, it’s tough to get up in there. Here’s a picture of mine after install with the black connector unlocked. Pull the front panel of each connector out to unlock them, might be tough, but slow and steady pressure will do it. Once unlocked you can pull the connectors apart. Once connected to the RP push the locking tab back in until it snaps.
You're welcome! Also, be sure to follow the RP instructions, including sequence of connecting the harnesses to the letter and everything should go smooth. Thanks very much!
Look at how the connector operates on the Roar first...it's the same as the connector in the truck. Play with it and figure out the movement, I didn't do that first...crawled up under there and struggled for 5 mins. Also, don't envy car audio guys, I was all messed up from twisting under the dash.Mine arrived. Lol, facts. I was going take it out and re-install for my first oil change, but I didn't even bother because I didn't feel like squirming around on my back like an idiot for 20 minutes again. Also, don't envy car audio guys, I was all messed up from twisting under the dash.
Roar Pedal nothing to worry about when getting service ..they won't know it's there and won't throw any codes. All it's doing is adjusting the pedal sensitivity, nothing ECU or fueling related.Lol, facts.
