Roar Pedal

I felt it did too. I didn't know if it was just me wishing or not...
Is this over the air or dealer installed? I have a service coming up and a recall to take care of. I've never had any software updates come up on my display since owning this last May.

Yeah, OTA. I had a message to install last week. I did, with no issues.

Friendly Service Announcement, (I have the Peddle Commander)- When installing , make sure there’s enough “play” in the wire that connects to the throttle behind the brake (if that’s where you route it) and not getting stretched every time you depress the brake. Ask me how I know……..

Sorry, we don't run the Peasant Commander.

I don't even know how you got a hold of them. I tried calling many times and straight to voice mail.
This won't help your case now, but I am pretty sure you can purchase through Amazon, that would make any returns much easier being they will tkae anything back.

You can but its $199. I got mine during holidays for $129. Thats a big difference

Ok update if you mess it up and get a CEL. Undo your negative terminals on both batteries and then unplug the unit. Wait 10 mins and plug the unit back into the pedal and then connect your batteries. Clears the code.
My truck sat an hour with door open with key in my faraday bag and still threw multiple faults. I unhooked both batteries completely for an hour and plugged roar back in. After connecting both batteries all messages were gone. Is the learn just pedal normal and then pedal full down? Does anyone else have a problem trusting a company that can’t spell?

Dude just follow the instructions...

"LOOSEN ACCEL ERATOR PEDEL AND CLCIK OK"

That's so bad lol. I've heard their customer service sucks, too. Knock on wood though, the product has worked perfectly for me. I'd love to go with a real company like Banks, but they haven't made one for it yet. Hopefully they will soon. Roar Pedal is just some guy in Maryland buying overseas chips and selling them. Their "address" is literally an apartment IIRC lol.

I didn't do the learn function, I don't feel it's necessary. @Mikey Swift will yell at you if you don't, though 😂

Yes, just click learn, don't touch pedal and set the first one...then press all the way to floor and set the second one.

My eight year old was laughing her ass off at the spelling.

I figured loosen meant don’t touch. The instructions said four digits and I had three on the phone app and second code gave me four after the pedal full down. I was going to take the pedel off before clciking next button. My daughter is in third grade so obviously the people running this company didn’t greguate the third grade.

Yeah, I want to say the first setting for me was like 426, and the second was 5k something...yours sounds correct though.

I don’t think I will install my Roar pedal on mine just yet. My truck seems really responsive in normal mode and extremely responsive in sport or Baja. I don’t think I will sell it yet but really like how it drives now. It may be just my experience coming from driving my old diesel trucks for the last decade though.

Install it bro.
You can always remove and sell...I mean, you have it already, give a try.

Be ready for CEL. I followed the directions and still got them. I got I think seven different fault. I should have just unhooked both batteries first and then installed. It’s all good now and does respond better.

Reports on pedal sensitivity are all over the place. Personally I thought mine was terrible. There's absolutely no reason you should have to give a car 50% throttle to accelerate quickly imo. It doesn't sit right with my brain. I just hate having to mash any control, be it the brake or throttle. If you've ever driven a motorcycle those kind of inputs will kill you 😅.

Alot of it is personal preference though.

People who have driven my truck hate how sensitive it is in my mode (Race 5) and they drive it very jerky-like, whereas I can control it just fine. I guess some people don't have good foot coordination/control? Idk lol.

I'd just install it. You have nothing to lose, if you don't like it, it takes 5 mins to remove. You could also leave it on and just keep it at the factory setting. It won't hurt/damage anything.
