Shifting issues at WOT.

Does your truck bounce off the rev limiter when shifting from 1st to 2nd at WOT?

I replaced my stock springs with Geiser Springs so 2.5" Font and 1.7" Rear w/ 37" tires and I also experience the same shifting issues only when in launch mode or doing a break hard start. Truck hits red line about 6500-6700rpms and cuts power till it shifts. sucks! I switch to manual shifting until there is a fix. I had the dealer reset the TCM but that didn't help. They suggested I leave it with them for a week so they can diagnose the problem.
From all the research I’ve done / tried there Is no fix the dealer can do. My dealer has a call out to the field rep. / engineer to try and at least get an explanation as to why the ride height sensors affect the shift point, but of course nothing yet.

I suggest you contact Bobby at Zona Motorsports in Tucson. He made new sensor links and I installed a set yesterday and it solved my shifting issue. I will say the front suspension feels stiffer at times, but nothing is be worried about personally.

I’m curious to see if Eibach comes up with anything different as they have pulled their 2.7 kit from the website.

No sir. These trucks are too smart and they don't want to be messed with. This link is shorter than the OEM and my guess is, they put the sensor closer to the OEM resting position before the lift.
I called it. When RAM engineers described the suspension having sensors to know the positions of the arms and shocks (jumped), I had a hunch lifting the truck may cause issues.

Didnt the TRX have that too? Do those guys have the same problems?

I think so. But I think a simple ride height calibration solved their issue.

New links definitely solved the issue. It shifts like it should now. The ones I have are not the final product. Just a “test” set.

I recommend reaching out to Bobby at Zona Motorsports in Tucson if you need a set of the finished product. I think he said a week or two for the real deal.
You got the proto types sunday, there shipping mine out already lol hope there the pretty version. Does that all thread look like it would rust or a stainless would make more sense

Edit I called , yes the completed version is on its way and yes there is available adjustment

For those that upgraded to 37" tires: have you reset your tire size via OBD2 port? Trying to determine if there is an option available instead of going to the dealer... my speedometer reads about 4-5miles per hour slow now with the larger tires. Any suggestions.
How would we change the tire size via OBD?

Here's a picture of the correction kit from Zona. Mine has shipped. :)

Did you guys just order one set for the front or two sets to replace all four corners?

I only did the front lift, so one kit for me. I don’t know if you need 2 regardless.

Bobby, at Zona has different suspension on all four corners. I’d ask if he did all 4 links. If he didn’t, then I wouldn’t bother.

Finished the install, issue is resolved!

Let me know if you think the suspension is a bit stiffer than before. I swear my truck used to rock like a boat when I pulled out of the driveway. Now it stiffens right up. But I don’t notice a difference anywhere else. Possible it’s my imagination

Also appears Zona kit fixed my truck with 2" lift , I did however have an mishaped ball from factory sensor but a kiss from the dremel fixed me up !
Don't think it seems stiffer for me but does feel better somehow

My driver side was difficult too. I didn’t even get the clip in. I’ll just wait until it falls off. Lol

I was struggling with the clip when I realized that connection was very stiff and if I forced it to rotate it worked it's way off pretty quickly . I used a diamond bit to deepen the bowl of the new link . Great results really glad you pushed this topic I mean my entire drive feels more refined with power .

For those of you who swapped out springs, how do they feel when paired with the Bilstein? (compared to stock).

I’m just glad we all came to a conclusion and found someone to solve it
