What did you do to your RHO Today?

Just got back from a 650 mile round trip to Blue Ridge GA. The truck was a beast and cant complain on the MPG!

Swapped the dual mufflers on the MRT Trail Rated to a MagnaFlow 12469. Figured it was worth a try…better than dropping $2K on a different system.

The MagnaFlow bolts up but it’s not easy since the MRT dual muffler inlets are offset from the outlets but there’s enough flexibility with the outlet pipes to make it work on this system. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on the stock exhaust as well.

Overall it has a slightly deeper tone and it’s slightly smoother but hardly discernible on video so not worth posting. The most significant (subjective) improvement is less 2,000 - 2,500rpm cab drone which is where the Trail Rated suffers most and that was my biggest complaint.

Changed the oil at home for the first time at 1000 miles. It may all be in my head but it seems smoother now (less boggy).

Changed oil, filter, and fluid in both diffs at 5K miles, also rotated the tires. This is the second oil change, did the first one at 1K, much easier this time as I was able to get the filter off without destroying it :rolleyes:

Finally got around to installing the no clunk driveshaft I purchased from @Nick797 during the last group buy. What an amazing difference. I had grown numb to the clunks but after the swap I immediately felt the difference. An amazing transformation. No clunks, no slop, just moves when the pedal is pressed, and no slop/clunks on down shifts in sport mode. Very happy with it.
It is a seriously legit upgrade...But I am sure most people will spend a ton of money to turn their lights amber instead....

that is pretty neat actually, I might get that one too

I like that small step, but added the Amazon bed step. Still shopping for a recovery hitch that would look good.

Yeah, the factory/Amazon steps are a better option because they don’t take your hitch space and possibly are able to be used when the tailgate is down, but I’m not sure because I’ve never used one.

Installed chrome tow hooks to break up the black.
Those look great. I’ve been contemplating the same thing. Do you have a link to where yours came from? FAS makes some awesome hooks but they are pricey.

The front are factory Mopar I found on eBay but the rear I had plated locally (RI, and it was expensive) ... apparently, there are no factory chromed rears.

Put in a Qi2 phone mount / charger since the wireless chargers in the truck can barley keep the phone charged if running carplay. Drilled a little hole under the rubber mat in the tray to route the usb cable and used a low profile cigarette lighter charger. That little fuse to switch the cigarette lighter from always on to just ignition is a PITA to get to.

Coated the front-end with fucking love bugs! 🤬

Added K&N Cold Air Intake and MagnaFlow xMOD exhaust.

K&N intake is night and day from stock. Not only did I feel a more pronounced 'boost' from the turbos when I hit the pedal, the sound it makes as it sucks air in is bad ass and quite noticeable. Not to mention it's a pull off, hose down, oil and replace filter.

The MagnaFlow xMod @MagnaFlow exhaust has been a great add. It comes with 3 different muffler module options:
"Smooth and Elegant" - which is a larger 'muffler' with the No Drone Technology (NDT) module strapped on top.
"xTreme Delete + NDT" - more of a straight pipe with the NDT module strapped on top.
"xTreme Delete" - basically a straight pipe, no NDT

I bought it and had it installed at my local CDJR dealership and listened to all three. The Smooth and Elegant was an upgrade from stock, but not enough to warrant the cost of the new exhaust - so that module is in storage. The xTreme Delete, which is basically a straight pipe, is crazy loud. Like everyone in the neighborhood knows you started your truck loud. Which, is not necessarily a bad thing :) ...I went with the xTreme Delete + NDT. It's a perfect blend of that TRX rumble when you start it and when you hit it hard, but with some dampening at cruising speeds. Now, I still get some drone at about 2,000 rpms in 8th gear (+/- 70mph +), but it's worth it.

I had it in that configuration for about 8 months until I said - F - it, let's go straight pipe. I worked with my son to change out the modules and took us about 30 minutes to do both. As I said above - the xTreme Delete is unapologetically loud. Yes, it's a bit much when I cold start it or get on it, but the amount of heads the exhaust turns is awesome. Well worth any drone I get at 70 mph. :)

Next up? Most likley the DiabloSport Cat6 - but still running my due diligence on that for the long term.
