What did you do to your RHO Today?

I went to my tint shop and they told me they couldn't do the windshield due to the electronics... Have you had any issues?
I was unable to tint the sunroof in mine due to a coating they are putting on the newer builds from what I’m told. The film will not stick to the edges of the sunroof due to a ceramic dot matrix of some sort although I’m told that there is ceramic/HV protection baked into the glass itself from factory. To be clear, the sunroof IS TINTED from factory in mine so it doesn’t bother me much.

Installed my wireless charging phone mount from Bulletpoint, did my best to hide the charging wire but overall very happy with the result.

I installed security screws also, but you should have used screws with a security bit. If they ever have to remove your dash or that info cluster they will have to cut them off damaging the surrounding plastic.
Pretty sure that I can get them out with some needle nose vice grips. Hopefully, it won't be an issue.

Accidentaly reset the trip i planned on never resetting to track lifetime MPG. Was initially pissed, but at this point I dont care. It is what it is and I have way more fun driving this daily not caring.

Side note: Upnorth 500 mile trip over the weekend. Was averaging 17mpg cruising at 75mph. Cruise at 85mph was getting 9mpg. Embarrassed a raptor a few times from 70 to 118 which was priceless. Overall average at end of trip was still 14.6 mpg. This is a thirsty truck.

Is what it is and just not going to care anymore. Makes for much more enjoyable drives.

That is not correct. Mine was definitely able to be ceramic tinted.

Where did you have yours done? I'm considering it and definitely want to get my sunroof done. The rest of the glass was done at the dealer and of course I was WAY overcharged ($600) but it's done and lifetime warrantied so I'm not complaining too much. I'm pretty certain it's not ceramic and I had to MAKE them do the rear glass (most dealers only tint the two fronts because the rest of the glass is smoked and it increases their profit margin since it costs them about $75 to have the fronts done) but I want ceramic on the sunroof because Texas summers!
For $600, I don't think it's ceramic UV/IR blocking tint.

If your goal is heat reduction and having a cooler cabin, you'll want to do every glass surface, including sunroof if you have it. If you only treat some of the glass, heat will bleed in from the untreated glass and make it all a moot point.

Interesting! Well the shop they did my tints applied the tint and it went in fine. Then when they came in the next day the tint was peeling from the edges of the glass where the black dots were and was told what I mentioned in my original post. Might have to go to a different tint shop potentially then if that is the case because they said they reached out to their rep and the manufacturer is what they told me. Who knows🤷🏻‍♂️ if it gets super hot and I start noticing it I’ll go to a different shop and have it done

Nobody is going to successfully get tint to stick to the black dots on the edge of a glass panel. The tint will have to be carefully cut, just shy of the black dots.

At least on my 2020, average mpg was definitely a rolling average… maybe if the last 150mi or so. Are you sure the trip mpg is now averaging over the entire A or B trip?

I didn’t do anything today but someone else did 🥴

Body shop experts out there, whats the best way to deal with this ?

These are the only dealers in California that show the bumper in stock. Hopefully one is close to you. Remember the MSRP is $301.00 Don't let them over charge you.

For sure, both local dealers run a matrix and try and pretend list is their cost. I laughed at both of them knowing full well how it works.

Heck the CPD dealership I worked at in the ‘90s ran the matrix system. Whenever I sold over the counter, I’d lower it to list and sometimes give them body shop rates if they bought often or were just good people.

Yeah that's a job I DEFINITELY don't miss! 8 years as a service advisor was more than enough for me.....
