Wow, I wish they knew this at Ancira Dodge Ram in San Antonio, before my truck sat there for a month to get the ABS Module changed out. Two other modules need to be replaced and are ordered, but no ETA on delivery so they let me take my truck home even though the blind spot monitoring, lane assist, traffic sign assist, Auto emergency braking, drowsy driver alert (lol), and check engine line are all going off on me intermittingly. I just ignore them and hope that once the additional modules come in it'll fix the problem, and I don't stress that my battery won't be dead when I go to start the truck like it did 3 times before the ABS module was changed out.For me — and several others in a Facebook group — the fix ended up being a replacement of the Central ADAS Decision Module.
For some people, it was the main module (Central ADAS Decision Module), and for me specifically, it was the Central ADAS Decision 2 Module.
I’ve also seen a few cases caused by improperly seated wiring or main/aux battery issues, but those seem to be rare.
The vast majority still needed a decision module replacement.
The good news is that this isn’t an unknown problem anymore, at least not to RAM. Your service department might have never encountered it before, but if they reach out to the tech support line (what my dealership calls their internal RAM support), they should know where to look.
I’m the only RHO my local dealer has serviced in a long while, and they didn’t believe me at first when I said this was a module issue. After contacting the tech line and inspecting the module themselves (which took them a full 7-day week), they finally ordered the replacement and fixed the problem.
Unfortunately, based on what I’ve seen online and from my own experience, this issue isn’t a matter of probability — it’s a matter of time. It will happen eventually. And now we’re even seeing 26MY RHOs are showing the same problem.
All of this makes me wonder: if replacing the module fixes the issue, why are late-25MY and even 26MY trucks still suffering from it? Did they just overstock the original defective modules and insist on using them up?
Thank you @meochan Really helpful!!!!!!!! I have mine scheduled for next week. So hopefully this will be something I can bring up and get fixed ASAP. I have a big road trip scheduled for Thanksgiving, and I want to make sure the truck is back home and gets back home.
Thanks for the reply, I’ve reached out to you guys already but unfortunately I’m in Canada so you guys can’t help meHi, @meochan!
Not sure if you have connected with us yet, but if not please feel free to send a private message our way with your mileage as well as the date of your most recent dealer appointment. We're here to help!

So took the truck out to my son’s baseball game and on the way home we stopped to grab something to eat and when we finished up we headed back to the truck and it wouldn’t start. I thought I give it a few minutes to maybe reset it self but after a half hour I had to call my wife to come pick up my son while I wait for a tow truck. It’s sad that a 2025 with only 5,200 miles that has been in the shop for over a month, and driven maybe 400/500 since getting it out will not start! Thanks for the reply, I’ve reached out to you guys already but unfortunately I’m in Canada so you guys can’t help me. And just to clarify, my issue was already fixed.
And just to add more information for the guys replied in the post, the central ADAS decision module is located behind the second row seats. Your dealer should know what it is when you tell them “the (central ADAS decision) modules behind the rear seats”.
I waited 3 weeks for this module as well. Seems like all these modules are on backorder. 45 days (last time I asked) for the main decision module. And lucky for me I needed the decision 2 module which had a shorter wait time.
During the 3 weeks waiting for the module to arrive, I took the truck back home and did a road trip.
Engine and handling wise, everything’s good.
Electronics wise, FCW, blindspot alerts and cruise control are all unavailable.
Plus the right wireless charging pad stopped working and right door handle sometimes doesn’t unlock the truck. One time the right mirror won’t fold anymore but fixed itself after a power cycle.
It almost feels like my truck had a stroke and suffered from a Partial Paralysis on the right side.
All of these issues fixed themselves after they finished the module replacement.
After talking to my service advisor, I think I kinda understand this whole issue.
The faulty module in the truck is basically like having a broken landline phone at home — not completely dead, but not functioning properly either. When someone calls you, the call might not go through, or it might connect but drop at any moment. The same thing happens when you try to call out.
If you've had one of those landline phones broken at your house, or even someone at home didn’t properly hang up one of the phones - you know what I’m talking about.
This causes the entire “phone line” system in the vehicle to behave erratically, with signals cutting in and out. That’s why when my service technician plugged in the OBD, they saw an overwhelming number of communication errors.
And that’s probably why for some of you, the technicians at your dealership couldn’t pinpoint the issue, at least not at first.
But again, at this stage, this is not a challenging problem anymore. Your dealership will figure it out and fix it for you eventually (and hopefully within a reasonable timeframe).
I sincerely hope all of your problems will be fixed ASAP!
Cheers,
Meo
Talk to the service department headHeard from the dealership this morning. They'll try to look at it in a few days and get back to me. Anyone had to pay for the tow to the dealership and get reimbursed for it? If so let me know the process as I feel like I shouldn't be stuck paying that fee on a truck that was previously in the shop from 9/13 - 10/14, and now back in the shop again as of this morning 11/17.
Mine was 3 weeks I think good luckDropped my truck off at the dealership on 11/7. I had previously been in contact w/ @RamCares so I was able to send my info needed in order to get Customer Care involved. Got a call from my case manager on 11/11. Service rep told me straight up it would take a few weeks for them to figure anything out since they haven't dealt w/ any RHO's at all and that they would contact a Ram Engineer right from the get go.
No telling how long this is gonna take...
