Add another to the CEL group...

Yea @RamFan didn't you have expertise in warranty options and ONLY favored MaxCare through Mopar? Or for that matter, even Flexcare? I'm sure it was you that had the loudest voice in the room when we discussed warranties in Jan/Feb timeframe.
It was me 😂

After working for Mazda corporate as both a district service manager and then a district sales manager…I have not one good thing to say about ANY non factory backed warranty. Not dealership backed ONLY buy factory backed.

The only thing I can say about aftermarket warranties, they pay the dealership plenty of commission and won’t help you.

Don’t do it. Ever.

Chris

Took the factory since it was easy plus 0 deductible 100% covered. Also, she said they used to carry Mopar (Granger or someone else can't remember) but had too many complaints i.e. took too long, wouldn't cover yada yada yada so they split.
Through what company? Can you send a link to view pricing?

Yeah I just trusted MD in saying that what they offer which can be used at any certified technician shop for repairs or any dealer was better than mopar. RAM has horrible customer service so just seems like warranties would be awful to work with.

Well, I had the day off so went to AutoZone and get a scanner. They only had one type (for $65), but I really dread a trip to the dealer. Let me backtrack. This morning, I called the dealer I purchased from and described my CEL on a 3 month old truck. Earliest they could get me in is next Thursday, they recommend leaving for 2-3 days, and no loaners until April. Naturally, I told them to go pound sand. So, off to Autozone, since I wanted to get this today. Hooked it up, and lo and behold, no codes present on the scanner. So, I erased the CEL and fired up the engine. Drove around the block, and it did not return. I'll see how it goes on the way to work tomorrow!!

My question to the folks familiar with the scanners: what tripped the CEL? Does no diagnosis code mean that there's just no active code, but there could have been one before that tripped the CEL and then self corrected?
Some kind of fault did trigger CEL to come on but it clearly "cleared" itself. The reason the CEL stayed on is that there is a process the computer has to go through in order to clear the light. Basically boils down to so many cranks and so many warm-up/heat cycles without another error before the light would go away. This would also be considered a "permanent code" which is why it only clears itself after the cycles. That's the very basic explanation. At least that's how it was w/ my mustang. By having the scanner and clearing the light you just essentially skipped the cycle steps. I'm sure somebody else could explain it in much better detail, I'm just giving the cliff notes.

No updates thus far. CEL is still on but nothing feels off with the truck. I've been lazy and just havn't bought a scanner yet

CEL cleared itself out last night while going to pickup some dinner!

That's great! Glad to hear it! Hopefully it stays that way

My CEL went on last week. No other symptoms. The app was showing all healthy. Stayed on for two days and took to dealer Saturday morning. Drove 20 miles to dealer, and it was still on. Waited 15 min for dealer to open, and then when I started it, no light. They checked it out and said that the error code showed the fuel mixture was two rich on both banks. Said it could have been bad fuel. In any case, they sent me away and have since driven close to 400 miles without an issue.

how many of you guys with issues have L0?

Just sharing FYI on CEL - We just bought a new 24 GW3 too and got CEL and the dash lit up like Christmas. It turned out to be a loose wire connection ground to the battery causing 42 communication errors. Been fine since.

With My RHO- Only had a door unlock button that sticks, works. Part back ordered. Still love the truck!

AAAAAAAAAAND it's back...

Again, stopped in traffic and as soon as my foot left the brake, the auto start feature engaged and the CEL came on. Lookin back on the last time this happened (week ago), I'm pretty sure the CEL came on at the same time the auto start engaged.

Wait was it disabled or enabled? I never use start/stop, I hate it!

Check voltage on aux battery, that's similar to what mine did when the tiny battery was shot

Wait, we can turn it off?
We can, but it has to be done every time we start the truck (until a box is available to delete it).

Every time I get in I hit the shortcut for steering wheel heat, 'custom' drive mode, and Auto S/S off

Damn, I’ll have to find that. Ok Dodge give us an update so we can really utilize the options.
