Did You Hear That? 👀 RHO Exhaust Options are HERE!!

Just dropped a new video showcasing the MRT Extreme Mid Pipe. Check out the interior and exterior sound clips to hear the aggressive tone this upgrade offers.

For those seeking a more refined sound, consider the MRT Trail Rated Mid Pipe, which offers a balance between performance and comfort.

Any serious sound difference between the trail conversion kit and the trail mid pipe kit?

Can you explain the performance numbers on your website for each option? Are there dyno runs with these ratings?

No difference. The only difference between the kits is the conversion kit only includes the dual muffler section so you can convert from the Extreme system to Trail Rated. Where the full kit includes all of the exhaust components.

Performance Ratings Scale:

Loudness (1–10): This scale measures the exhaust's sound level. A rating of 0 represents a silent vehicle like a Tesla, 1 corresponds to a typical stock internal combustion engine, and 10 indicates an extremely loud setup akin to open headers or straight-piped systems.

Drone (1–10): This scale assesses the level of in-cabin resonance at cruising speeds. A lower number signifies minimal drone, while a higher number indicates more pronounced cabin resonance.

Performance (1–10): This rating reflects the exhaust system's ability to enhance exhaust flow by reducing restrictions compared to the stock setup. Improved flow can lead to better engine efficiency and responsiveness.

Regarding Dyno Testing:

We do not provide specific dyno figures for our exhaust systems. Dyno results can vary significantly due to factors such as location, temperature, altitude, humidity, and the specific dyno used. Instead, we focus on engineering our exhaust systems to optimize exhaust flow and reduce backpressure, which will enhance engine performance and responsiveness.

Ordered the extreme. I'll probably hate the drone on the highway... but whatever
If you are like me, you won't find it to be overbearing at all. Granted, I don't drive on the interstate all that much, but even at 80-85mph I don't find it to be that bad. Now my old Z06 with the Borla Stinger exhaust, long tube headers, etc... that would give you a headache. Haha!

Trail Rated semi cold start. Been sitting for a couple of hours. I like it. Not sure if video lets you hear it, but there is def a little bass in this sound. Around town it’s great and on the interstate also.

Sorry about the wind.

Any tips for those that installed the MRT themselves? Did you just crawl under the truck or did you need to lift it? Planning on just doing it myself

My friend owns a muffler shop and has a lift. 2 people done in 30 minutes.

How would you rate the trail rated vs stock in terms of sound increase? Is it nearly silent when cruising like stock? Any drone at all? I’m hoping it just gives more sound when you get on the throttle and is nice and quiet when cruising. Thanks.

Absolutely sounds better. A little deeper when just cruising around town. WOT is absolutely louder and sounds better. The sound I get inside at above 75 mph is more like AT tires on a scored concrete road. Not bad at all. I don’t hear it when I have the radio on. Hope that helps.

I'm hoping the extreme will be just enough to bother my neighbors. My father told me the stock exhaust sounded "kinda wimpy" and that was all the justification I needed to order the MRT...

I like the extreme but just not my style anymore at 58 years old. The Trail Rated sounds plenty good to me. It damn sure sounds good enough that I’m not going to spend $2-3K for an exhaust.

Super easy. Only hang up was have to run to the store for a longer blade. The short one only made it 3/4 of the way through the cut. Long blade finished the cut and removal was easy with a pry bar.

One thing I’d recommend is having a second person when aligning the last section with the exhaust tips.

Hey RHO community,

We experienced a surge in orders for our MRT Extreme Mid Pipes last night, leading to a temporary backorder. Our manufacturing team is already ramping up production, and we anticipate shipping all backordered units within 2–3 business days.

We appreciate your enthusiasm and support.

That sounds great! Also curious how it compares to stock. I don’t think I’ve seen that comparison yet.
