Did You Hear That? ๐Ÿ‘€ RHO Exhaust Options are HERE!!

Just wanted to share a quick update from the shop here in snowy Michigan! โ„๏ธ

We just finished installing our Extreme Mid-Pipe (Part #92T810) on this Ram RHO. Even though the weather outside is definitely not fully ripe for tearing up the pavement right now, the exhaust note is still a warm, comforting welcome on a cold, wet winter day. Seriously, that sound is a cure for the winter blues.

If you're stuck indoors thinking about your next upgrade, nothing beats that aggressive MRT rumble to remind you of spring!

Stay warm out there!
That truck definitely has been ran or cranked for a while before the video. No super long hi rev at cold start.

This was right after we pulled it out of the shop. The Truck had not been outside for more than 5 minutes at start up. I'm guessing being stored in the shop all night helped it get to temp quickly as we pulled it out of the shop and immediately staged the truck for the video.

FWIW, I have the MRT extremes and that is exactly how mine sounds on a cold start, minus the long revโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ..love it. Just sayin

Iโ€™d be very interested in hearing what this sounds like compared to a stock exhaust with passive valves clamped open. I opened mine up and it made a world of differenceโ€ฆ but still interested if thereโ€™s a deeper tone achieved here.

I really appreciate the approach to not replacing the entire system, though. It just seems silly to pull the stock tubing to replace all of that with the same diameter.

Those were my thoughts as well. Personally, I have not heard a complete cat-back aftermarket exhaust for the RHO that I like better than the MRT mid- pipe replacement. And Iโ€™m not spending $2k for the same diameter pipe it replaces which is an added bonus. AND on top of that , itโ€™s user friendly so if youโ€™re even remotely mechanically inclined, you can do it yourself. YMMV

Just saying every 3.0L HO Hurricane at cold start that Iโ€™ve heard has an extended hi rev at cold start. Nothing at all to do with the exhaust. Wish mine was that tame at cold start.

Mine has that long rev when I cold start as well. I was just saying that just because it did not have that long rev, that is the same exact exhaust note as mine on a cold start, regardless of the long rev at start

Anyone who has the MRT extreme able to chime in on how loud their truck is vs stock (especially on cold start)? I do live in a neighborhood so trying to be weary of neighbors and such. Feeling like the cold start can be pretty loud as is.

I have them. Pretty sure thereโ€™s a few videos here of them on a cold start. Also, YouTube has them as well. Anyways , they, in my humble opinion, are moderately loud at cold start but in no way obnoxious. Of course if you live in Karenville USA , someone may disagree. If , for some reason , you canโ€™t find any videos , lmk and Iโ€™ll do one if needed if I can figure out how.

Ive heard them and like the sound just hard to get a true gauge on the loudness based on a video (and sound echoing off the houses and such). Thanks for the response.

This is my cold start! Love the pops at 4000 rpmโ€™s

Extreme sounds too rowdy for me, personally.

I think I have some interest in the trail rated, but even after going through this entire thread I still donโ€™t see a good comparison between stock and trail at idle and WOT.

I have my stock passive valves clamped wide open at all times and itโ€™s definitely louder than fully stock. Iโ€™m really wondering what the $500 does for me, here, if anything at all. Will it have a different tone and/or volume?

Just wanted to share a 'Trail Rated' mid pipe review we received over the weekend.

Has anyone found a comparison of stock vs. the trail rated mid pipe anywhere?

Hey guys,

Wanted to post a quick video of a RAM RHO we had in the shop today. This truck actually came to us already running our Extreme Mid-Pipe, but the owner wanted to dial it back just a bit to make it a better daily driver without losing that signature tone.

We ended up doing the Trail Rated Conversion, and since it was a typical snowy Michigan day, it was the perfect time to see how it handled "normal" conditions. This truck is also running a JB4, so itโ€™s definitely got some extra pep.

If you watch the start of the clip, youโ€™ll notice itโ€™s mellow enough at low speeds that you can actually hear the tires crunching in the snow. I know most exhaust clips are just people pinned at wide-open throttle, but we wanted to show what itโ€™s like just crawling around town or living with it every day. Don't worry thoughโ€”once the boost hits, it still screams.

Check it out here:

For those asking about side-by-side comparisons (Stock vs. Trail vs. Extreme), they are in the works.

Hurricane or Hemi โ€”MRT was built for this.

The new Hurricane needs to breathe to sound right, and the stock setup is just too lame for trucks this capable.
