I did, that was my 1st attempt at better sound after downpipes. Not much different. I guess my downpipes (stainless works) have a smaller cat than the psp's, so that makes a difference i am sure.
Ill attach my first cold start. Ive been told it will get a tiny bit deeper as the CF packing material losens up. But the sound clip doesnt show the refined sound it has compared to the MRT trail rated. No high pitch rasp anymore. Its worth a look. I had everything clamped on so I can switch if need. But I have stock everything, stock H-pipe, mrt pipe, borla pro xs, mrt pipe, then stock everything else. Sounds good.Glad to hear this. I’m not happy with my MRT Trail Rated with the MagnaFlow 12469 x-pipe muffler so maybe this is worth a try before I throw more money away on a different system altogether.
Have you posted any sound clips? Might have missed it but I couldn’t find any.
Thanks, seems to sound better than my cold start with the dual in dual out Magnaflow on the MRT Trail Rated:Ill attach my first cold start. No idea, all I can tell you is that the MagnaFlow 12469 dual in dual out muff does not sound very good on this truck. It’s raspy, high pitched and harsh (at least when added to the MRT Trail Rated).Anyone think that taking the factory suitcase and popping the lid, gutting it and just putting two straight through perforated pipes then packing it welding it back up… sounds like a good idea? Makes a big tank to really help with noise? Or ChatGPT and I have been talking and thinking maybe this
PSP catted downpipes → existing crossover/X → V-bands → dual 12” 3→4→3 hourglasses → V-bands → passive valves → MagnaFlow straight-through muffler ( or modified suitcase)→ which transitions back to dual → V-bands → retain the OEM rear pipes with the screened air-induction sections
