Exhaust With High Flow PSP Downpipes

Yeah, it’s the normal driving shifts that I wanna hear

In normal driving conditions if I try to record my iPhone, you’re probably barely gonna hear them. They’re not loud at all and even when you’re getting on it a little bit they’re not crazy loud either you could hear more of the mechanics shifting than the exhaust if you’re concerned about hearing wet farts.

Even though I went through all of this, and it ended up with the stock cat back. I still think they’re worth it. The power is definitely noticeable and it’s such a nice quality part. I wanted the extra Power to negate the extra weight from 37s.

Is the power just noticable or holy shit noticable. As far as sound goes I don't mind annoyingly loud at all

I wouldnt say holy shit noticeable but definitely noticeable, I would do the 0fg exhaust

Yeah, I saw a video of that system with down Pipes and it sounded really good super loud. I’m assuming those mufflers that come in the system will help with tone. The MBRP was essentially a straight pipe so I think your system might do better with the down Pipes.

I just need to find a shop that will do the install. It's definitely out of my skill set and comfort level.

Seems odd to me that you’re experiencing drone with the AFE. In my case I can hear the tire noise over the exhaust. At 75 it’s just a light hum in the background and no resonant drone in the cab. I wonder if there is an issue with your mufflers.

Assuming you have the AFE? I am fairly def thanks to my EVO and 12'' sub in that car. But right at 2300 it was sever. I am going to rip it out actually and put the stock back on when I put my PSP DPs in. Id rather have the performance. I am hoping that's a decent balance but I am still catching up on this thread.

I’m getting the stainless bros race mufflers put on tomorrow in the back of the system I’ll update you guys on how that sounds tomorrow then after that I’ll clamp the valves open and if that doesn’t have too much drone, I’m gonna get rid of the valves for another set of resonators then possibly do exhaust cut outs later for when I wanna be loud.

I don’t think we can conclude that yet on the Corsa. I hope that’s true but there are no videos out yet that confirm that on their final product. Some of their earlier videos from over a year ago do have the gear shift bwaaaps, but not as bad as most others. One person has it installed so far and they’ve only posted an idle video. Corsa did just put a slick 10 second marketing video out but it’s not at all helpful as far as what it sounds like during gear shifts.

For what it’s worth I have no gear shift bwaaaps with the MRT Trail Rated but I’m still searching for a deeper tone.

I put in some inner silencers on my AFE exhaust. Took out all the DSG burbles. If I stick with the PSP DPS and stock exhaust, I will happily sell you my AFE exhaust with those silencers still installed.

Yes, I do have the AFE and don’t have any issues with drone. Mine is fairly tame on the inside until you open the windows then you really hear it.

I’m just looking vicariously now. I think the pipes are interesting because they bring on power sooner, but I don’t like a bunch of noise. Wish that software didn’t retard the timing and throw fuel in it during shift. I think they might be doing that just to give it that sound all the kids like.

Very loud cold start. Especially backed up to the garage. No sound clips.

If you want to kill those burbles, I used this (unintentionally). The pitch of the exhaust notes under full throttle also got higher. So to each their own. They will be coming off of mine, because clearly I am a child at heart who loves to be loud on the occasion. Worth noting to the people following, I have an M3 V8, that is basically straight pipes, it has no drone. The AFE kills me on their drone from the factory.
