Fitcamx Dash Cam

Can anyone that has an RHO tell me if this is what it looks like around your mirror? I have this dashcam in my TRX and am trying to see if it will fit the RHO also. They’re great!

I have the Fitcam X installed in my '25 RHO. The backside of the plastic cover is straight. It looks nice (OEM), but I'd overall rate the camera setup as so so...

I ordered one this week too. I ultimately probably want something better, but I just wanted to get something installed that would be easy. Look good and work. I really just wanted something for the day to day driving just in case.

I have read a lot of mixed reviews about the quality of the image, etc. So I wish they used better cameras but for ease and clean install its hard to beat.

I decided it is better than nothing. I would like to go with the Viofo with wide view inside and extra telephoto out, but then you have no option for rear cam, because it only allows 3 channels, and you will have multiple cams in the windshield at a much higher cost.

I will probably have a go pro mounted somewhere anyway for travel etc, when hitting the trails.

I like mine, I have no concerns with it. I don't have it for license plates (although that would be beneficial). I have it to prove fault in case of an accident. I currently have one in my truck and in a suburban

How hard is it to run the rear camera wire? I assume it’s through the headliner?

It's fairly easy. I didn't run it through the headliner. I followed the perimeter of the headliner all the way to the back window. The only spots there were trick/tight were right behind the 2 speakers in the ceiling. Also the damn cable was so long. Probably would have been easier to start at the rear window and work my way to the front and hide the excess cable in the b pillar

running it is pretty easy - you just tuck it up in the headliner (and/or behind the weatherstripping) as it passes to the back. The only hard part is figuring out where to shove an extra 2.5 miles' worth of excess cable.

Just my 2 cents. If anyone is looking for a fitcamx dual cam, check Amazon. See if they have a like new option for your desired model. Roughly $100 off and they are damn near brand new. Seems most of their returns are people buy the dual cam and then chicken out on running the wire so they return it. The one I bought for my suburban was damn near brand new. If I didn't know it was a return, I'd never know it was a return. Just think of all the gas you can buy with that savings!

I hid mine in the b pillar. I just wish I started by mounting the cam and working forward

FitCamX with the polarizer lens. The lens works extremely well and cuts out pretty much all the glare from the dash/glass/hood and anything else. A lot of people are worried about the clarity of the camera, I think it's fine and I'm willing to have the OEM look over the Sony Starvis sensor. Not a crazy difference. The fit and finish are perfect, didn't have to adjust anything. 10 minute install with the removal tool included in the box.

Just installed mine today. Great setup! I definitely took everyone’s advice and installed the rear camera from back to front. That allowed me to easily stuff extra cord in the C/B/A pillars along the way. Whole install took about 30 minutes. Super easy.
