New info on 98 mph top speed.

I want very much to order Serrano Green RHO,but every day I read about more MAJOR problems causing people to lose the use of their truck.
This is NOT normal minor recall stuff easily fixed.
These are system wide design flaws that RAM is incapable of fixing .
I would guess the folks having issues on this forum are the “vocal minority”.

I don’t know how many RHOs have been delivered, but mine is usually the only one in the dealer shop, if that counts for anything.

I looked at replacing my RHO with a Hummer EV, but after looking on the forums, I got scared. The final “nail in the coffin” on the Hummer EV was not the forums, though. It was my previous experience with GM combined with a 30 minute review video.

The reviewer had nothing but good things to say, until he re-installed the roof panels & everything in the interior rattled & sqeaked. Been there, done that with GM and Mercedes vehicles…never again! (Mercedes had a bad run with crappy plastics for a few years…even their flagship S-Class sounded like a cheap toy inside).

I would still order the truck. Like mentioned before, the issues you read about are from the people that are ac try ally having these issues. There’s hundreds of trucks out there with the HO motor without any issues and if they do have issues, like I did with mine, they are very minor. Of course you have those with major problems but those are far in between.

The only issues I’ve had with mine since March has been a faulty vacuum hose which kept popping off under boost and would throw a CEL and the truck would want to shut off. And the other issue I had was the “illumination unavailable” warning on the cluster which went away and has not been back since around 300 ish miles. After finding out the issue for the vacuum hose, the dealer ordered a new one back in April and I haven’t had an issue since. I’m almost at 3k miles and couldn’t be happier with the truck.

My truck has been a problem child and I still like it. I knew it would be this way with a new model year. It is what it is. Hummer EV would be sweet too. Lol

That’s a solid question. I honestly don’t know. I was camping at the time and also had a funeral later that week. So honestly, even if they wanted me to come in for a fix, it wasn’t going to happen this past week.

Personally, I hoped mine was affected. I would like to see the problem myself.

Instead I got a check engine light I’m dealing with that I plan on addressing tomorrow. So I’m not out of the woods. I have a code reader, I attached the Google search on the code, and I have a good idea on the issue. Dealership is 14 days out and no, Ram isn’t sending someone in or giving me special treatment at the dealer. I don’t want them too either. I hate that stuff.

Truck runs fine. I’ll have an update once I confirm my suspicions.View attachment 15953
I got this same code when I ran a scan. However, it did not generate a CEL. I ran a scan just to see if anything was looming under the surface. I found 3 codes, none of which thru a CEL.

This is crazy I have had about 5 or 6 check engine lights , 3 times used code reader and got no codes the other times I couldn't scan before light turned off on it's own . That being said even with the light on truck ran great for some reason when I see that light I drive like a complete ass now at 6k miles.

To document the issue i thought it was a good idea. I am sure I’ll walk out with nothing based on everyone’s experience here.
As expected, the dealer said they cannot violate the speed limit and therefore they cannot diagnosed the truck. The service manager said they have never heard this issue before.

Waiting to talk to the case manager for next steps. Whatever they are at this point.

bunch of idiots

Love the videos man! Just be thankful your truck hasn’t been in the shop for 45 days with no end in sight! Ram hasn’t offered any compensation and the dealership told me to pound sand multiple times… truly upsetting.
Sounds ike its time to find a new dealer !!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I did but as expected, they acted as if I was crazy.
As a service manager in my previous life, the fastest thing a customer could do to piss us off was say “well the forum says” now I fight myself from saying it every time I’m at the dealer. 🤣

It was never the cool, easy going guy. It was the problem child no one wanted to deal with.

Good to have you in our side now! Not wishing car issues on anyone but you know how these dealers work. It it hard to get someone to work with you.

100% we are so jaded from dealing with every single bad issue 24/7 and every customer coming in and taking their frustration out on us, for the manufactures issues, we forget that we are there to try and help.

That's hilarious because on the trx i purchased it still has some warranty left and there's 2 little things I wanted to get fixed before it expires. I got the fixes from the forum and dropping it off for service this weekend.

I typed up a little page for service with the forum fixes thinking I was doing them a favor and potentially saving them some legwork lol

I literally did write "not trying to tell anyone how to do their jobs but this info was given from other owners and I thought could be helpful. Thank you all for your help."

Lmao they're gonna key my shit.

Haha. They’re going to love it! It all comes
Down to how it’s presented. I was always willing to sit down and listen to the “cool” customer. They can tell if you really are trying to be helpful, or just being a forum warrior.

It's funny you say that. My dealer could not get the brake light to go off after having it for an extra month after replacing the brake booster and module. I shared that my son was a BMW mechanic and how he suggested to bleed the brakes properly using positive pressure and a scan tool to modulate the HCU. That got me a snicker. Ultimately when they sent an engineer out this turned out to be the exact fix. Based on my Ram app the truck sat in the back of the parking lot the majority of the 45 days it was there. When cleaning it up for pickup they scratched the heck out of the paint. See attached. This was taken while I was at the dealership and the entire truck literally looked like this. This cost me a significant amount for a two-step paint correction and re-application of ceramic. I was only able to recoup a small amount from the dealer. So while they did not key me, they did something nearly as bad. I don't know if I just have bad luck or if others don't see these types of problems or are more forgiving.
