Yeah, don't bother listening to the manual or fuel door...listen to Edmunds and run whatever you want. Shit, why not run tap water? Sprinkle some bath salts in there. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Iโ€™ll say it, reading comprehension is not their first, second or third ability in life. Licking windows is what he does best ๐Ÿ˜‚

You continue to push the BS narrative that going against what is 'REQUIRED' for this engine is somehow ok...you're gonna get push back. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I ??? lol.. ur trippin . And also the article quoted a Ram engineerโ€ฆ. I only have 87,89,93 in my cityโ€ฆ. I will be using 89 and will be just fine.

i continue to push? lol, Ok Karen. Also this article quoted a RAM chief engineerโ€ฆ. That sounds credible to me. I only have 87,89,93 in my city. Iโ€™ll be using 89 a majority of the time and will be just fineโ€ฆ.

Thatโ€™s exactly right, I do me, yall do youโ€ฆ.. I simply told someone thanks for sharing an article I thought was relevantโ€ฆ but hey Iโ€™m all good, I just donโ€™t like when people feel the need to talk down to othersโ€ฆ itโ€™s unnecessary. But weโ€™re all good, Yall have a blessed day

It depends on your elevation. I have only ran 87 or 85 octane in my Audi Q7 for the last 60K miles. I have never had an issue. I have lived near sea level and up to 9600ft. I now live at 6100ft and will put 89 in the RHO. Modern engines can adjust for knock and I don't plan on setting any 0-60 times.

Anyone have any thoughts on using ethanol free. Or tried a tank of it yet. We have mid grade ethanol free around here. And a pump with premium ethanol free not too far away
You will get slightly better fuel economy as ethanol gets 25% less fuel economy, but that is just 10% of the tank. I would go with whatever is cheapest. Ethanol is great for boats because of ethanols strong affinity for water.

Ethanol free to E15 should not cause issues on any newer Mopar product. The octane rating is more important.

There is the whole pro-ethanol and anti-ethanol debate, of course, over which is better, which gets you better MPG, which gets more power, you are not pro-farmer if you don't use ethanol, you're dumb to support ethanol as it requires gov subsidies, etc. But regardless, E0 to E15 should not cause issues with factory/OEM settings/tune.
As someone who is an engineer and a good part of my income comes from supporting ethanol plants. It is dirtier than gasoline. It gets 25% less fuel economy. It slightly raises the price of petrol at the pump. Ethanol has a strong affinity for water which means you can't store fuel as long. It is one of the biggest subsidies in the US. Our fine socialism at work.

I shudder to think how difficult it will be to understand the part about not eating the key fob batteries.

The manual just says donโ€™t eat it. Can I stick it in any other orifice? It doesnโ€™t say I canโ€™t, but it says I should seek medical attention if I do.
You try to get a coin battery out of its packaging lately? They are triple encased in plastic. You need something sharp to get them out. So you risk stabbing yourself with scissors or cutting yourself to free them. Iโ€™m a welding instructor and change a lot of these batteries in helmets. I tell my students not to have a baby but if do, donโ€™t let it eat batteries. Because some idiot crackhead let their food stamp crack baby eat batteries then sued Energizer and the whole universe has to buy a chainsaw to open battery packaging now.

Exactly! Sometimes you just need to let natural selection play out! The weak/stupid ones don't survive and don't contaminate the rest of the gene pool. But we interfere with that and now the whole world is getting dumber!! :ROFLMAO:

do I have to bother with oilchanges or is it just BS what they say in manual?.. maybe the next owner shoud deal with the wait at shop rather then me

Just curious, where does it say required?
In the owners manual, under the gas cap, a multitude of places. Bro for the love of God just run 91 and kill this thread. You are like the 5th "new guy" to show up and question whether you need to run 91. Smh. Did you not read the thread?

YES YOU NEED TO RUN 91 OCTANE IN YOUR 550 HP, 90K PERFORMANCE TRUCK AS THE MANUAL STATES. END OF CONVERSATION.

This dead horse has been beat into extinction.
