Shit happens quick. You're lucky you didn't lose an eyeSorry to hear that man, shit happens. I once stabbed my self in the face with a flat head trying to get a cotter pin out of an axle nut.![]()

That was exactly my thought when it happened, I looked in the mirror and seen a cut under my lip packed with axle grease.Shit happens quick. You're lucky you didn't lose an eye
Exactly that’s why I now have the Rho and I still have my 24 2500. Not smart in terms of having two expensive trucks, but it’s convenient when one needs to get something done to it.I figured out the secret years ago. You always wanna have at least one more vehicle in the driveway than you do asses in the house. That way you have a spare. You’re less inclined to push and rush or make do with something
I’m confident they can figure it out, they specialize in diesels and have done my past turbo trucks installs. Are you guy going to share these instructions with the shops to get a quote so they have an idea of the workload , or are you going to let them figure it out on their own ?
Ah, that's a good idea. Take it to a turbo diesel shopI’m confident they can figure it out, they specialize in diesels and have done my past turbo trucks installs.
More sound in a good way or bad way?Got them installed Thursday. 4hrs labor $700 from my shop. They had zero issues with fitment.
Bolted to stock exhaust for now and initial thoughts are they add ALOT of noise in a way I haven’t heard any aftermarket exhaust be able to produce. Going to most likely get rid of mufflers/valves and start with adding 2-18” resonators to calm the rasp down, then go from there.
Performance wise I can’t comment yet because I haven’t done a 0-60 pull, but it definitely has more pickup in the 2k-4k range shifting thru gears.
More sound in a good way or bad way?
I’d say in a good way, just need to tone the rasp down on the shifts above 3k rpm and it would be perfect for me…honestly it sounds like a stock exhaust shifting at WOT but at 3000-3500k. Minimal drone tho driving 70-75 on the highway which is nice.More sound in a good way or bad way?
I’d say pull the trigger and get them, you won’t be disappointed.See I want loud and obnoxious. And I enjoy the wet fat sound when it shifts. My kids and I laugh at it. So this is good news. May I ask what part of the country you live in? Asking in relation to summer temps + plus any extra heat this give off in the engine bay over the stock pipes
Where in Florida are you?I’d say pull the trigger and get them, you won’t be disappointed.
I live in Florida, so it’s hot and humid. These actually free up ALOT of open space in the firewall compared to the stock downpipes, so I’m assuming the air can flow thru the engine bay easier and create less heat in the engine bay
Clearwater areaWhere in Florida are you?
Thought you were closer to the south florida, Miami area so I can meet up with you so I can hear it in person. Do you hear the turn spool a bit more with your setup?Clearwater area
From in cabin a little, but not much. I’ll get a video uploaded tomorrow of a cold start and revs.Thought you were closer to the south florida, Miami area so I can meet up with you so I can hear it in person. Do you hear the turn spool a bit more with your setup?
Hey I am in Safety Harbor. I would love to hear what it sounds like. Maybe we can meet up sometime. I am waiting for Corsa to finally release there exhaust to make a decision what direction I want to go.Clearwater area
Call it a hunch, but I bet DBallz has. Scan through this thread and just read his posts. It will answer most of your questions. He is the OP and the creator of these down pipes.Has anyone had these long enough to know if the ecu accommodates and corrects the performance changes over time?
