Any updates on your transmission? I’m still waiting for my replacement.Interested to see if it fixes the issue. They found abnormal level of wear metals in mine as well. After they replaced my Transmission the problem was still there if not worse according to the service advisor. Time will tell I guess. Thanks for the update.
Still waiting. I’ve been in communication with Ram Customer Care to escalate the case. The service department manager said they’re waiting for Star to tell them what to do and Star apparently doesn’t know what’s wrong. My trucks been at the dealer for almost two months now. I’m tired of waiting and want my truck back. At this point I think I’m going to start the buy back process. I feel like I’m reaching but did your truck start having this issue right after the new springs were installed? Has anyone else on here had taller springs installed with this same issue?Any updates on your transmission? I’m still waiting for my replacement.
Dealt with star before, it’s a shitshow. Same thing with ram customer care. Best bet honestly is to get them to buy back the car, get you into a new one and have less of a headache. Sucks ass but it’s honestly less of a headache and you’re not paying your monthly payment and insurance on a paperweight. They might reimburse those too you alsoStill waiting. In my experience, it was relatively painless. It’s just was super time-consuming because it takes Just to get some stuff approved and then if you’re getting a CDI done when you order another truck, it’s gonna take a little bit longer just cause the code has to get approved from stellatid and all that other stuff. It really just depends on how your service manager is. They can make it relatively painless if they’re good.Yeah I started the buy back process yesterday. Really sucks cause I’ve put money into it with alarm, springs, bumper, lights, bed cover etc. Going to fight to get all that back. I just want my truck fixed but not looking good. Hopefully buy back is a fairly easy process then try again on another RHO I guess. I really loved the truck when I had it.
Because it was never the transmission in the first place, definitely a module or sw issue. So quick update for everyone. The transmission was replaced and it’s still hanging in 1st gear - just as I suspected it would. I’m now over 30 days without my RHO and I don’t see this getting resolved.
1 million percent. These “techs” nowadays have no freaking clue how to troubleshoot anything, lazy bastards.RAM service centers are going to cost the company massive financial strain at this rate. “Just replace an entire transmission and see how it goes” isn’t a good strategy.

That’s what I suspect. I told them about @White RHO, who literally had the exact same issue - they weren’t interested.omg..
well not sure exactly how it works with RAM dealer, but one dealer from other brand rather charged the manufacturer for the expensive parts as that meant more money coming in for them, more labor etc.. (it was bmw btw and had it there for dash replacement and the added other bs on brand new car)..
I bet it's the same, they might just order and replace the big expensive stuff and charge the manufacturer for 20 hours of labor instead of finding the root cause and fix it in 2
I bet you’re rightomg..
