So this is literally just installing a 4” aluminum pipe as shown in your picture? And amplifies the turbo swoosh? Seriously?? That’s crazy.

What did you do with the line that was mounted to the intake clips , seems inneed of support ,also any trouble with the engine cover with those mounting points gone ?

Just a straight piece of 4 " aluminum and new clamps took mine apart to look last night 16 plus inches long ordered a 20 " off Amazon for 32 bucks

Heres what I ordered also some 4 " clamps cost about the same and I will be cutting a few inches off one side. I'm not the op just to be clear

Any update on how you did it

I'm working on a new airborne to accommodate a larger free flowing filter. I'm currently in Korea for the military but I'll be back later this month and I'll continue working on that and my exhaust

What size coupler are you using since the tube is 4” diameter. Straight 4” coupler? Or 5” to 4” reducer

It's 4" strait coupler my 2 showed up yesterday and there big all available under intake on Amazon. The part store carries mostly 3" stuff

Didn't hear enough of a difference to not leave it stock

These are home grown, just a piece of 4" aluminum cut in a bandsaw and deburred with two silicone misalignment boots and 4 ss hose clamps. Figure it may be worth something to someone who doesn't have the means to cut the tube.

Can anyone answer me on what exact length to cut? I don’t want to cut too much and have to buy a new tube but I don’t want to not cut enough and have to take it back out. I see 16 and 17 inches in this post. Should I split the difference and go with 16 1/2?

There is a large margin of error , I took mine out but could measure it tonight for you

Thank you I appreciate that. I took the cover off tonight and stopped. I’m gonna buy an extra clamp with a rubber gasket to go around the middle of the new tube with a hook for the little coolant line. I don’t like how it’ll just be hanging there when you take the factory intake off since the hooks were built in to that. I wanna support it properly for when the truck bounces around.

Alright tube is cut to 15" with couplers centered up its shy of 18"
This photo shows my style of clamps and positioned as shown the clamp bolts will cradle the line you mentioned and provide great support . Good luck
