What did you do to your RHO Today?

I tried wrapping the tail lights but they always bubbled up in the corners. Tried alcohol, degreaser everything to make sure it was cleaned to no avail.

IMO, the taillights are actually really good looking. Our ‘19 Longhorn taillights bothered me as a part of them always looked “faded”.

Nothing with the Ram, but drove the Stang all over today. :)

Oh damn that looks super good. How is the rear end handling/comfort?
Thanks. Had the 1.5 rears at first and I can’t tell a difference in ride quality between the two options. Typical lifted truck characteristics.

I’m not a mechanic, but I’m “YouTube Certified” on simple repairs. On a scale of 1-10 with “1” being changing a tire and “10” being something I would take to the dealer I’d rank it a “5”.

The first clip in the video took some pushing and it made a disconcerting snap when released but no problem, the clips are very durable and made of pliable plastic (same as the body panel), not hard/brittle.

I used painters tape liberally on all the bumper, grill, and body panel edges, just in case.

Push DOWN on the clips. I made the mistake of pushing the last clip backwards through until it was stuck pointing up and impossible to pull off. So, it took me some time to situate the grill in a way that allowed me to get behind the clip, push it down, and release the grill from the body panel. Sounds worse than it was, but suffice to say the clip went through some twisting and flexing and did not break. Push DOWN on the clips!

A set of inexpensive plastic body tools with a push pin puller is very helpful. Also, you’ll want to use deep sockets and an extension to get the three 10mm bolts on the lower corners of the grill. A handheld impact driver is a nice to have (I used a relatively inexpensive Ryobi that works with my batteries).

The most difficult part was pulling the auxiliary wires out where I could work with them. The assembly guys at the plant taped them well. That said, wiring was the easiest part. The video doesn’t show him heating the crimp connectors once the wires are connected, so don’t forget that part to make it watertight!

If you follow the directions in the video, take it slow, you’ll be fine.
I just finished installing my M&R 23" Pro Lights. It went like expected, a major pain in the ass! Getting the side panel clips off, to access the three bolts underneath each of them, was a nightmare for me. Additionally, I broke the plastic push pin holder on the drivers side (that was the first one I pulled). It is taped down for now while I look for the part or figure out a way to rig it. Several of the push pins also didn't want to go back in correctly. I'm going to order new push pins. Now that I'm done I like the way they look. If I had to do it over I would have taken it to someone or skipped installing them altogether.
Tomorrow I'm doing the rear backup lights. Should be a lot easier although M&R didn't label the mounting brackets. I'll figure it out by watching the video.

Sorry it was so much trouble, but glad you got it done 👍

This is the only thing holding me back. I may ask the dealer what they'd charge me.

Thanks, I do really like the look. The white light will help as I live in the woods and the deer are always running out in front of me. Hopefully I'll be able to see them better. The amber DRLs are cool.
