Anyone thinking of trading RHO for TRX 2026

I bet RAM will overprice the TRX by $10s of thousands.

GREED of RAM will override better judgment.

The new guy who now heads up RAM would do better to increase sales volume by not trying to gouge people’s wallet. GET THE TRX out there first for lots of people.

Ford Raptor R at $150k shows Fords greed too. They don’t care for customers. I left Ford Raptor because of high pricing and dealer adjustments of 20-40k.

But sadly I predict RAM TRX will be horrifically overpriced.

They gravely erred for the final edition too that was overpriced.

Sad. 🤔

I have had thoughts but honestly loving the RHO the more miles I put on it. The RHO will be a beast once tuning and actual mods are developed and released. But I do want to see what MSRP will be on a 26 TRX (if it actually is released) then make a decision. But I am heavily leaning toward staying in the RHO at the moment.

If the new TRX is priced near the Raptor R, no way I would pay over $100k for a pickup truck regardless of the power plant. Especially when a $700 piggyback gets more whp on its highest tune/fuel.

But let’s wait and see what they actually do and price point.

I ordered my 2013 Raptor at under $50K MSRP (can't remember exact price). Ford shut down SVT and brought out Gen 2 under "Ford Performance Group" so they could jack the MSRP by $20K. Here we are over a decade later and my Gen 1 value is still in the mid 30's (even with a 100K on the odometer). Gen 2's half the age and similar mileage are going for a similar price. It'll be a sad day if I ever need to sell my Gen 1.

That said I need a bigger truck cabin than my SVT or daily driver Canyon to accommodate dogs and toddlers that don't stop growing. I looked at getting a new Gen 3 Raptor, but they flat won't come below MSRP on a 25 and even the leftover 24's are barely discounted. The RHO gets you more power, better Interior, and more tech for less money. The 2026 I just ordered through MD is easily $15K lower than I could do an equivalent 25 lot Raptor. Kind of a no brainer.

The TRX is cool and all, but I agree with everybody else... $40-50K up charge for a quarter second less time getting to 60mph is not worth it... Especially when you consider there are plenty of credible rumors the Hurricanes will be able to be tuned and modded to well north of 700HP for a fraction of the cost difference to go to a TRX (That hasn't even been officially confirmed yet).

Looking forward to my Rhino! 🤘

Looked at and passed on the TRX in 2021. Was priced at $83,000 nice but I thought it was a little over powered. Yup I just said that. I thought if they put the NA 392 in it I would buy one. 4 years later along comes the RHO with what I think is a better motor. I think the RHO has more to offer for the $86,000 sticker and definitely with the 10,500 off.

RHO's seem to be selling very well, which tells me that Ram has very little to zero incentive to bring back the TRX. From a financial standpoint- it probably doesn't make much sense for them. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I wondered the same thing a few years ago. I thought that when they released the TRX, they should’ve offered a model with the 392 also, just like the Grand Cherokee. I would’ve bought one as well just like you.

I really like my RHO, but if for some reason they offer the RHO or the TRX with the NA 6.4 or something like that, and the price was inline, I’d consider a trade. Even if it was slower.

Traitor...

I really like the way the RHO sounds, buuuuut….. lol. Maybe I’ll just order a a green 2026
...but think of everything we've been through. You can't bail on your homies, we out here in the trenches fabricating fixes for all the issues.

But what if it’s offered in the RHO nameplate! J/K I’m poor. Im not going anywhere.

No, happy with RHO. I never wanted TRX

Absolutely not.
With all the features that RHO has the TRX will be probably over 120k, GPM 10 or lower all for .2 seconds faster, no way.
I think in the real world (vs. published -60 times) the difference is about .7 or so 0-60. TRXs are clocking in the 3.8 range. Anyway, I think the downside of the 2026 TRX (in addition to price) is that it will have the same electrical architecture as the RHO. I actually had an RHO ordered and went with a used TRX instead b/c of the electrical gremlins being reported so often on here - plus the fact that mine sat idle for almost 3 months in MI. It seems like the engine issues (a couple of hydrolocks on here and a couple of melted cats) are few and far between but the electrical stuff is not. IMO, they need to get that sorted out before they can reasonably ask for > 100k for a truck.

I mean if the new TRX was priced around $80, yes I'd consider it. But it will be priced around $120k+...so no friggin way.

I always thought it was a bit stupid that they never offered a half ton truck with the 6.4L and that you could only get it in the 3/4 ton. Plenty of power but a bit inefficient in that chassis and I bet they coulda sold the shit outta them in a half ton
