Anyone thinking of trading RHO for TRX 2026

I bet RAM will overprice the TRX by $10s of thousands.

GREED of RAM will override better judgment.

The new guy who now heads up RAM would do better to increase sales volume by not trying to gouge people’s wallet. GET THE TRX out there first for lots of people.

Ford Raptor R at $150k shows Fords greed too. They don’t care for customers. I left Ford Raptor because of high pricing and dealer adjustments of 20-40k.

But sadly I predict RAM TRX will be horrifically overpriced.

They gravely erred for the final edition too that was overpriced.

Sad. 🤔
Are you speaking of Tim Kuniskis? He is not new and knows how to run a company. You should read up on him. It will do you good.

Traitor...
OMG, I just realized you have a pic of yourself that has your name on it, wearing a shirt with your name and your user name is your name(or stage name). 🤣 🤣 🤣

If I can deduce what you are screaming at everyone is that your name is Mikey and you want everyone to know who you are and what you look like. Got it.

Nope, keeping the RHO! I LOVE the RHO and my “manhood” is big enough. 😉. Hey, but to each their own.

I just got my RHO last Friday; I've been trying to decide between an RHO or a TRX (been assuming TRX is back in '26) for the last month.

The things I considered
The 10/14 mpg of the TRX was a pain point: not the paying for fuel but the range. Having to fill up to drive home and visit the folks really sucks (2 trucks ago I had that experience and I didn't like it). 15/21 mpg isn't much better, but it covers the trip for me.

Getting a loaded RHO in the $7x's is a steal compared to say a Denali Ultimate in the low $8x's in GM land. My assumption is that the TRX will be ~$30k more than an RHO which has us crossing the $100k price point which becomes noticeable.

Right now, I'm happy with the 540hp, but.....
Different exhaust on the RHO would be a nice add, especially at lower rpms :)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you'll never touch 15/21 in the RHO. It's flat out deceptive marketing by Ram.

You'll peak at 15 if you're lucky.

Yep.....I saw 13.5 HWY over the weekend at a moderate 80mph average, which for Texas is fairly slow. My daily commute in DFW yields numbers in the 11.5-12.2 range with traffic

I'm at 13.8 after 3500 miles. Unless is getting towed no one will see 20.

I think the 15/21 is what shows up on Autotrader is accurate (or at least advertised) for some other Rams - but not the RHO. The RHO is rated at 14/16. It seems like the real world difference is 2 mpg +/- - which is pretty consistent with the advertised MPG diff. Guys that drive RHO's really aggressively are getting low double digits - and TRX guys are getting high singles. Conservative drivers are getting 15-16 on the RHO and 13 or so on TRX. I

Not me, no. Just getting started.

You're incorrect.

so RAM is just lying for fun lol
Not for fun. To deceptively generate sales for people who might otherwise choose a different vehicle if they told the truth.

I'm not buying that mpg numbers are made up, too much heat in this space already.

Definitely made up. No one here is averaging over 16. Most of us are below 14. There is zero RHOs averaging 20MPG. So yes RAM is deceptive on those numbers

No due the pricing. I bought my RHO for under 61K new. Unless a TRX is under 70K I would not. This price point is the max I would go.

I always thought it was a bit stupid that they never offered a half ton truck with the 6.4L and that you could only get it in the 3/4 ton. Plenty of power but a bit inefficient in that chassis and I bet they coulda sold the shit outta them in a half ton
I always thought the same thing. If they had released a 6.4L in the TRX body, along side the TRX in 2021, I think they would've sold a ton of them. I certainly would have purchased on of them.

I mean if the new TRX was priced around $80, yes I'd consider it. But it will be priced around $120k+...so no friggin way.
Same here
