Battery Dead

I just think its so wierd all of these RHO ttucks are coming from the factory with dead battery issues and nothing is being done other then keep throwing new batteries at the problem

The only reasonable conclusion here is that Ram has no fucking clue what's causing it.

Interesting. I always lock, either via the fob or usually by touching the sensor on the door.

I see your wife is just like mine: oblivious to locking a car
Mine leaves the key fob in her Audi Q7 and gets it stolen from driveway then blames me somehow. Lmao.

That's I said yesterday... 1500 models are having this issue and the GW since 2023.. still no solution.

My truck is shipped, and it's about to be delivered .After all that waiting, i don't know if I want this truck anymore with all that issues?

Just placed my order a week ago and feeling more like you everyday. Starting to look hard at the 24 TRX.

There are owners who are not experiencing any issues. It's random vehicles are doing it, but you never know.

Sure. I know. I have never been scared of first year models, and I’m sure I will take delivery when it comes down to it. I had two First Edition Broncos. Sold one with zero miles and kept the other for about a year. Guy that bought the one from me needed a new engine in less than 1,000 miles. Mine never missed a beat.

I have a 2022 Bronco Raptor that was one of the first 500 built. Zero issues. Lots have had cam phaser issues. I had a 2017 Raptor (first year of the Gen 2) and did have cam phaser issues. It’s a crapshoot. That’s what warranties are for, right? Just cross your fingers and hope you are one of the lucky ones.

Anyone question if it is in fact the one thing that runs when the truck is turned off, that could be draining the batteries? The electronic turbo cooler that runs after vehicle shutdown may not be shutting off? Just a thought. Gotta be a software issue.

I knew all about the battery issue before picking up my Rho but I really thought I wouldn't be one of them. Damn it I was wrong lol. If I didn't had another car, AND didn't buy from a local dealer where I can take it back to and be treated right, I would have second thoughts as well. Luckily for me that didn't apply.

A suggestion for everyone, the day you get your truck, I highly recommend to bring a portable battery jumper and tools to disconnect both batteries

I am worried as well. This is the first time I buy a car from a dealer that is not close to my home. What will happen when all these issues show up and I have to take it to the local RAM dealer? Will the tow be paid by RAM? Will I get a loaner? My feet are getting colder by the day. Especially with the questionable RAM dealers in South Florida.
And I was planning on picking it up in Lake Charles. Now I don’t want to drive the 850 miles back home and planning on putting it on transportation. That is just F U that I’m worried about this with a brand new 85k truck.

My dealer had 2 Final Edition TRX in the showroom when I bought my RHO. Stickers were $124+K.

I looked them over when my RHO went back to service for the running board install. Can’t put a finger on exactly why, but they seemed assembled with more care. IDK…after seeing photos of some other RHO engine bays, I can only conclude my truck was built on a Friday before a long weekend.

It’s been a bit of a hassle, but I haven’t been left stranded yet. Bought the truck for long road trips & vacation use. As long as it proves reliable on these trips, I won’t regret my purchase. It’s a cool looking, nice driving beast. Nothing else currently on the market compares.

What's that ?2025 laramie? How long do you have it?This is first time?
Not mine.. drove to RAM dealership to see if they had RHO.. just wanted to check it out.

Another forum member found bolts at the bottom of his battery tray in a factory fresh RHO. He also found liquid, so the bolts likely punctured the battery case. No wonder it died.

Has anyone else who has experienced a dead battery pulled the battery & found bolts in the tray? I wonder if the dealer techs would report it to an owner? Maybe…maybe not.

Battery cases are pretty stout. I guess if you drop it on the bolts maybe, but who knows. I don’t see this (bolts) being everyone’s issue. There is clearly an issue and replacing the batteries is addressing the symptom not the root cause.
