ok I will agree with you then.. the intake adds 2psi over stock, which doesn't result in more horsepower, so basically for $350-$700 you get more psi that does absolutely nothing with the truck performance

We'll find out later this week, but as @JLM1600 stated, the K&N intake wasn't designed for the RHO.

Yup…lets wait for the real one to come out and then we will see. If I add an intake to my rho it would only be k&n.

Bwoody intake pipe installed today... I left the oem air filter in place. Maaaaaaybe i can hear a little something, but not a significant change. I think you need to replace the oem air filter to get any real sound. It's definitely a smooth air flow compared to the baffled stock pipe.

Have you noticed any response change or just a bit louder turbo sound. I'm sure a high flow filter will give a little more turbo sound.

I can't say I've noticed anything significantly different than before I installed it... my son says he hears a some turbo, but it's nothing that jumps out at me as notably different.

FWIW - I installed an AFE aftermarket filter and there really isn’t much of a noticeable difference compared to stock. Maybe the slightest bit of turbo spool… but it’s really not significant.

So far, I haven’t heard of anybody finding a way to hear significantly more turbo sound.

The intake im currently working on gives a much more noticeable turbo induction sound. I'm finishing up the fitment on the airbox as I write this. I'll post a video of it next week, this week I'll be busy with upcoming dyno session and some downpipe work.

I'm driving down to Austin this weekend to do a downpipe install on a fellow forum member who happens to have the Magnaflow exhaust. I'm excited to hear what it'll sound like. I don't want to get off topic and turn this into a exhaust thread haha.

Well today is the day, going in for some pulls my downpipes and I'll be testing my intake. I'll do a couple with the oem filter and then I'll toss in my system. Both will run with the aluminum pipe instead the oem silencer. They will also both use my larger airbox.

I never made it to the dyno session.....I got a "service shifter" fault after removing my front drive shaft. It won't even crank over, It's been parked in my driveway the past couple of days. Im getting ready to drop it off at the dealer ship this Wednesday.......

But for anyone willing to take the plunge, I have a theoretical parts list from Amazon for $126 OTD carbon CAI that basically does the same thing as (rhymes with G-Goody) replacement but instead with a carbon pipe. I’ve attached the list here within below, the theory is that the longer 4” coupler would connect on the engine side and most of this coupler would sit under the engine cover and not be seen. The carbon 12” pipe would then connect to said coupler under the engine cover. Most of the carbon pipe would be visible outside the engine cover and look nice even if no sound or gains in hp are visible. The coupler for the intake side would essentially just need be cut down to size as needed. Anyone ever tried to take this route? Let me know if anyone has any thoughts.

Yes, I did this back in February way before they ever did. It still blows my mind that they charge so much for a pipe.
