This is exactly why they are rolling the fix out slowly. You all complain that you are still waiting, Imagine the outrage when you all have bricked trucks? Be patient.

"Be grateful you don't have an advertised feature > 1 year later because we could botch it so badly your truck is bricked" is certainly one way to interpret this situation.

Not a good one, but it is one.

My RAM App self-updated when I opened it today and the Digital Key tile appeared. I've paired my phone to my truck and it functions as expected.

The point is that we should never have had to wait in the first place. Don’t advertise a feature unless it works properly before it’s sold. It shouldn’t be a tough concept for a company to understand, yet Ram still doesn’t get it.

Same thing for me. 17 pro max.

@SeaDog0720 and @highstar - I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The truck pairing process took a few minutes, with my phone on the card reader, while the Samsung Wallet linking process completed.

I don't have any experience trying to pair an iPhone. Just grasping at straws here... do you need to 'allow' a permission for a wallet-type feature on your phones before trying to pair?

My app and truck updated as well. I get to the point in the pairing process where you're asked to place the phone on the card reader in the truck and nothing happens. After a little while it says pairing failed. I tried removing my phone cover as well. Using an iPhone 16 pro max. Am I missing something?

I believe it goes in the passenger charger.

Do you pay for the ram connect services by any chance ? My trial ended a long time ago and I wonder if that has any impact.

I also wonder if feature needed an over the air update requiring wifi or was it just an app update on phones.

Yes I paid for the app and my truck was built in 2024

Welp cool...now I can lock/unlock my doors and start the truck w/ my phone (tap to pay essentially) BUT I cant remote start the truck unless I pay for the RAM Wifi bullshit. So I still need my keys...which I can remote start from for free.

I know this has been a feature everybody has been demanding but in essence its utterly pointless unless you're paying for the Wifi subscription.

I thought there was a less expensive version that did not include their WiFi. Kinda silly to pay for WiFi when most phones allow for it. I would be more inclined to pay for a lesser cost function that just included remote start with the phone.

There used to be a less expensive version but they got rid of it for an "all in one" kind of package. It's $18/month but if you look at the features your getting, it's pathetic!

I even called to see if it were possible to just pay for the remote start/stop option and they said you had to buy the RAM Connect Wifi Plus package. 3/4 of the services offered w/ that package are garbage. I told them I don't care about 4g wifi connectivity when I can just use my 5g hotspot over my phone.

When was your truck built though...mine was built in '24. If I recall they were doing the earlier production models first.

I just reinstalled the RAM App, and the only update to the App was to see I now have a Safety Recall for the trailer lights...

Yes...I have everything except wifi...I have the plan they offered when I purchased my truck... I paid for the full year,I think it was cheaper.
