I just updated the app to version 1.99.5 and still no icons for the Ventilation/air or to pair the Digital Key. Is there an update that needs to download on the truck for this to work or do you need an active RAM WIFI subscription?

Every time I check for updates on the truck at home when connected to my home wifi... nothing hits.

Crazy how RAM hasn't figured this out.... What's the deal @RamCares?

In the entire time I have owned my truck, I have not got a single update on the truck software.

Digital key is on a small batch at a time rollout.

uConnect support and RamCares account both have told me that we need a paid subscription for Ventillation. I’ve heard otherwise from other members here. I’m also on the latest app (1.99.5) , no ventilation or digital key for me (even though my truck was built in 2024 and I was one of the first to share my VIN with Hannah (ramcares) … I’m just going to sit back and hope it arrives soon .

You don't need a subscription for the vent but that's all it does is blow the air around. It doesn't cool. For that you need a paid account with a subscription.

Same here. 2024 build, 1.99.5 app version, paid subscription and no ventilation and no digital key.

So I went the weekend using the digital key and completely leaving my keys at home...it was actually pretty nice. I was under the impression you would have to use your phone and tap the handle of the door like you would that stupid little credit card key we all got (most of us anyway), but to my surprise as long as the phone is on you you can lock/unlock the doors. Same goes with starting the truck. No need to take your phone out and tap the charging area or place it in the pad. I just put the phone on my mount above the AC vent and started the truck no problem.

My phone (Android) showed an icon in the upper left corner of the phone when near the truck. If you select the icon you get the same options as you would w/ the app LOCK/UNLOCK/VENTALIATON. Having remote start/stop would be EXTREMELY nice, but again, not paying for that sh*t!. Unfortunately once it starts getting too hot I'll have to carry the keys to cool off the truck because this South Carolina heat/humidity sh*t is for the birds.

This is definitely pretty cool, but seeing how insanely and I mean insanely unreliable uConnect is with Bluetooth connections (and all things phone related)- the thought of relying on a digital key scares the shit out of me.

I forgot my iPhone when driving the other day, and the absolute nightmare of trying to use android auto was driving me nuts. This truck has the most connectivity issues of any vehicle I've owned in probably 15 years. Maybe ever.

I can totally see being left stranded 100 miles from home with this "digital key"

They can't even release the damn feature properly and on time lol. This usually isn't a great indicator that they have a handle on things. But worry not, they'll 100% release it before it's finished and stable like they do everything else

To the people who really do want this feature, good luck, hope it works out! You guys got a lot more faith and confidence in Ram than I do!

@RamCares why can't some of us beta test this feature??... This rollout is ridiculous. At this point it will be 2028 before I get a feature I paid for and probably be moved on to a new RAM.

Exactly. I'm not against the feature at all, I think it would be badass if it were 100% reliable.

Just don't trust Ram to implement it properly.

My 2026 has the vent option but all it does is turn on the vents, no AC and no cracked windows. Doesn’t make much of a difference.
