Digital Key Activation

I promise you guys aren't missing out on anything. You'd use the feature for maybe 3 days, realize it's worthless without paying $18 for remote start, and then forget about it.

Yes, it's a feature that shouldv'e been available the day we all bought our trucks, I'm not arguing that, but it's a feature that just isn't as big as we all made it out to be.

Now, if you're paying the $18 already (or somehow you got it way cheaper) , then good for you, this feature is awesome...

The rollout makes zero sense. You haven't heard any issues pertaining to the digital key. @RamCares it's time to just release this damn thing to us. This is a feature we paid for.

@RamCares never responds anytime I've tagged them on these threads; they are worthless.
 
I do not blame the @RamCares people as they are not the decision makers and are only trying to be gainfully employed, I have learned from interactions at another site over the years that they really have no authority to do anything. I think they keep an eye on social media for Ram, try to pass along generic type information and occasionally send an email or message to someone. In my mind, they have a handful of canned responses they send to mitigate bad press. Kinda like when you read some critical reviews online and the manufacture gives a canned response stating they are sorry whatever happened and to reach out to them to make it right.

It is disappointing as it gives me the feeling I have a direct line to someone and Ram really does care, but at the end of the day I have never seen them accomplish anything impactful to me. That experience comes from from previous interactions where I tried to get them to resolve an issue I was having with the 1500 I had before the RHO.

@RamCares what is the status of the digital key? I’ve now been waiting for a year for a feature I was sold that isn’t available. This isn’t new technology, BMW and Honda managed to make this work in partnership with Apple several years ago.
 
Has anyone with an iPhone got it to work yet? I have the tile and got the update but during setup it shows an error and won't connect.

@RamCares is there any way to see where we stand on the release schedule? Some of us turned in our VINs last October. I know they are rolling this out in smaller waves... can we find out what wave they are on, and what wave we are each in with a possible ETA?

Thanks Chris, I did this months ago and was confirmed eligible yet the tile never showed up in the app. Is there some other instruction I’m missing?

This was on another forum today:

Jumping in to let everyone know that here in Customer Care we are waiting to hear when the next batch of VINs will be campaigned out to customers. Currently there are about 5,000 VINs that have been campaigned (as a reminder, these are MY25 vehicles that were built in calendar year 2024). As soon as we hear something new, we will share it -- if you've already messaged us, we have your VIN and have shared it, and there is currently nothing further we can do on our end.

Additionally, for any customers that have received the update, if you notice any concerns after the fact, please let us know. Thank you all, and we will jump back in as soon as we know that another VIN group will be launching!

Yet they keep promising it's coming. Yeah, maybe in 5 years.
 
Well I got to use it for a little over a week before I sold the truck 🤣
