Jumping in to let everyone know that here in Customer Care we are waiting to hear when the next batch of VINs will be campaigned out to customers. Currently there are about 5,000 VINs that have been campaigned (as a reminder, these are MY25 vehicles that were built in calendar year 2024). As soon as we hear something new, we will share it -- if you've already messaged us, we have your VIN and have shared it, and there is currently nothing further we can do on our end.

Additionally, for any customers that have received the update, if you notice any concerns after the fact, please let us know. Thank you all, and we will jump back in as soon as we know that another VIN group will be launching!

Not that I am suggesting pursuing legal action, but is this the kind of thing that brings about something like a class action lawsuit? It was an advertised feature and I am sure in some respect the cost has already been passed along to us. More curious than anything else.

Even if you could prove damages, they'd be so small per person that it wouldn't cover legal fees. They know that and therefore can continue to tell us all to suck it.

Sorry I mean to DM our VINs to be added to some mythical list that definitely exists.

Looking forward to the digital key option. My friend recently got a BMW X1 and the digital key works great. I have it on my phone, and for that great privilege, I get to wash and detail it for her.

BMW did it right! The feature has worked flawlessly on my wife's BMW since day one. It's a really cool feature.

Same. You can forget you ever had a key with that. BMW actually does a lot of things better than many manufacturers do. The infotainment system is quite impressive.

By the time it gets to me the tech will be outdated and no longer supported.

I linked my phone a few weeks ago. Used it unintentionally last Sunday.

I drove over to my local hand-wash car wash. As I exited the truck, I realized I didn't have my physical fob.

Had to leave my phone in the truck until the truck exited the blower tunnel.

I've purposefully left the fob at home for quick Target/Walmart/McD's runs since then, just to test the system.
So far, it has operated flawlessly.

What version Uconnect software and what version app are owners on that have a working digital key? I keep getting a pop up that says "reminder me later" with the menu blank - wondering if I need to have the dealership update, seems like a bug with the pop up.

@RamCares hey Chris, if we send you our VIN can we get this pushed to the trucks ahead of schedule? I'm a late 2025 build model year 2026. At this rate I'll be dead before I get the update. I would make some sense to push it to those who ask for it and might use vs a lot of folks who probably could care less.
