At this point, im not even sure the feature would be reliable. Our phones already don’t connect via CarPlay all the time. I’m supposed to accept that a key will always work?

I will feel the same way if/when the digital key happens.

That being said, I have several digital key devices I open with my apple watch and iphone. It’s quite handy, fast and tech rich.

Wife is buying her next vehicle currently. Tested an X6M yesterday that had the digital key for apple watch- so it’s out there with other brands. Don’t see why it shouldn’t happen w/ RAM…eventually.

Well, here we are over a month past the RamCares post and still no digital key updates! Maybe by the 2030 model we will have it.

Wife is buying her next vehicle currently. Tested an X6M yesterday that had the digital key for apple watch- so it’s out there with other brands. Don’t see why it shouldn’t happen w/ RAM…eventually.

BMW has had a digital key for years. My 2022 M340 was supposed to have it but due to a chip shortage at the time BMW gave a credit of under $100 to buyers. If I remember correctly BMW and Honda were the 1st two with the technology.

I hope that whenever they sort out whatever bugs they are working out, they also add a little more functionality to the app. We also have a Hyundai Palisade that has way more capabilities in the remote app, from individual climate control settings, and turning on the heated or ventilated seat seats. There is even an option to take a snapshot of the vehicles surround using all of the 360 view cameras.

I keep waiting for a lawyer to jump
on this for a class action.

RAM should release it and give us other the digital glovebox add-ons for free for the life of the vehicle to make up for this.

My wifes Subaru Ascent is the same way, allllll kinds of options to do from her app, not to mention, IT'S FREE!

what sucks is RamCares is completely MIA from this thread… and I agree with everyone else who posted about adding more features to the app. This app, for those of us who don’t want to pay for it, get a measly luck and unlock. That’s it. And even if paid, it lacks features. This is horrible for Ram. Hopefully a nice lawsuit comes and I’ll happily join

Here with a little heads up. As of now all over-the-air updates are currently paused. Once we are notified that they will resume, we will let you all know since we are still awaiting Digital Key implementation.
