I had a G80 M3 and it was brilliant.
Order one last year. Drove it. It was just okay. For me the M2 has become a bloated, tech heavy coupe compared to yesteryear. Don’t get me wrong, it was properly quick. Where the previous models were sports cars, the latest is what I consider a sport touring. I told the salesman I wouldn’t mind if it was a truck. I passed on it. Then Ram announced the RHO a week later. I do agree with you in that the BMW exhaust sounds great. Many aftermarket selections have their own unique sound. Hoping Corsa and Bills can work some magic.
In my experience with 6 cyl exhausts, sometimes DIY is the way. Had 3.7 Mustang back in my younger days and was determined to make it sound decent. Ended up using a catback designed for the 5.0s, and some shorty headers and it somehow sounded better than any exhaust built for the 3.7s. My hunch is that the RHO will be somewhat similar in that people experimenting with different set ups will find a better sound than a $3k corsa catback, whenever, if ever, they finally hit the market.At this point, I've released a better exhaust than half the manufacturers trying to design something.
The more I hear or the lack thereof anything sounding really good I'll just keep the stock as well.
it is hard to believe those large companies have not released anything yet. It's their lose for their delay. If guys want an exhaust some people aren't going to just sit there and wait. They will get it from what is out there already, or create their own.
Another 6 hours on the road yesterday...no complaints. Sounds amazing and almost zero drone this trip.
Love mine In the city. Cold starts are so much better than stock. If you stay under 75 it will settle out of drone but I drove 11 hours last two days from Denver to Vegas and a lot of the interstate was 80 speed limit out here. That got a little annoying making me want to just slow down.
I guess slowing down and enjoying the scenery isn't a bad thing. I find myself running a more relaxed pace on long trips.

Plus you can potentially get 20.2 mpg as well... Per some claims Ive seen lately...
Also when Ram had the RHO at SEMA last year their Rep. Was talking about the aggressive exhaust that was on it. The truck was the Mopar Edition and Barry from Ctech-review did a video on it with them.
