Sounds like yours is malfunctioning. This is how it works virtually universally in these systems.

What’s interesting is when you do the “bump” the turn signal stays on until the truck has completed its lane change.

Not surprised if it is malfunctioning…it’s a Ram/Stellantis “thing”.

I have only used mine twice in the 1500 miles. Both times it worked perfectly. Stayed center in lanes, changed a lane with the click of the turn signal. Still scares me though lol

Drove mine at night and the green lights stayed on to the sides of the cluster like they are supposed to. Still have not found a rhyme or reason why they don’t during the day. Really doesn’t bother me much though either way. As others have mentioned mine also switches lanes with just a bump of the blinker. And it does not ping pong really at all. Have been really impressed so far with it.

Hands free working great. I use it twice a week from Detroit to Cleveland and back. I’ll go 45 mins to an hour at a time and I love it. No bouncing in the lane - holds the line really well.

Mine works pretty well, gets a little to the inside of a curve sometimes. I don't get to use it often but it's much more useful than I thought it would be.
