Is that you way of saying the RHO is not getting any DC love? That's fine by me if we aren't, I love my truck and will happily do a cat6. My only hold up is buying a cat6 and shortly after a Mopar tune drops. As much as I love wasting money I'd rather waste it on a single mother going through college while swinging from a pole

No thats not what I meant it to come off as. My understanding and what I have been told my several sources is that RHO and HO upgrades are coming...but been told this since SEMA 2025. I am pushing for everyone including myself to find out what plans are for the more power on the RHO.

I could never trade this truck for a TRX, I love everything about it. Personally I feel it's better than the TRX (full disclosure I've never driven a TRX). To me the only thing the TRX has is the bigger engine and V8 exhaust note. The Hurricane HO is plenty fast stock and very easy to make it even faster. The exhaust note of the RHO stock is lacking but again easily changeable.

And finally, when the new TRX can't even beat a Raptor R in a straight line race, there's no point.

This is why I think the new Dodge Charger with the Hurricane HO saved us.

Dodge markets the Charger as a fast performance car. And a huge part of Chargers and Challengers for many years has been the ability to modify your car. So Dodge / Mopar really needs to keep that momentum going.

Word gets around very fast that there's tuning and other go fast mods available for a particular vehicle. And of course that drives interest for that particular car.

If Stellantis would have pivoted away from the Hurricane and gave the new Charger a V8 and hyped that up instead, I doubt they would have prioritized mods for the Hurricane this much.

I had my eyes and ears open the entire time. No mention of a Tuner for the Hurricane, and absolutely zero mention of the RHO. But I would imagine they mean the announcements of plans for the Hurricane / Dodge Charger in general.

The Charger has the same Hurricane and ZF trans as the RHO ( I don't know if 100% identical ) , and the same Stellantis electrical architecture. So I would imagine it is very easy to cross-develop a tuner for the RHO.

Yeah that's the part that doesn't make sense. Unless they wanted to have all their ducks in a row for SEMA , and that way they can have actual major product announcements. Instead of "a couple of the guys were running unreleased tuners for the Hurricane".

SEMA might be the official showcase for everything being released or in development. Makes sense that they want to have actual products to release.

Having said that, SEMA announcements will be my line in the sand, and whether or not I want to keep this platform. If nothing for the RHO, and no Hurricane tuner for any vehicle would be a bad sign.

ya only option right now for tuning is a piggy back or a halltech which is not really possible for any of us in a daily driver setup. Dodge/Jeep/Ram have to give the tuners ability to tune these Hurricane engines or the aftermarket crowd will not be to hip to these engines. With that being said the Hemi/Hellcat/6.4 will all be locked down on all the 25+ vehicles with electrical architecture. I would like to see a 75hp tune that runs on pump gas for my RHO, that would be a nice bump in power.

I wonder if anybody happened to verify whether or not that Jeep Cherokee with the electric compressor and the 640 hp motor had the 8HP75 transmission. I’d also be curious to hear what kind of torque numbers that motor was producing. I’m still hopeful that they do an actual tune reflash. Engine control, module, and transmission module. That Cherokee is the best supporting evidence of both. The 600 HP charger to a lesser extent due to an identical 531 ft- lb of torque.

Nice. That guy is very talented. Him and Rob Dahm are extremely good builders. I watched all of their YouTube Charger build content. And of course all of John's Viper Hurricane build content was great.

I’m looking forward to hearing how that goes. I love this hurricane engine. I just traded my wife’s non etorque hemi rebel for a 26 hurricane rebel.
