I like looking at google reviews of my favorite restaurants. There’s ALWAYS bad ones, even though I’ve never had an issue. That’s a good way to look at what’s going on here. Cant please everyone.

I mostly agree. I thought for sure I was going to buy a Toyota Tundra...then the engines starting blowing up. Yeeeahhh.I’m not saying it’s a good thing, I’m just saying how it is. All new vehicles are junk in my opinion. Every single one. Mass produced with parts from vendors with the lowest bids to maximize profit. It’s not about building quality products, it’s about making money for shareholders.
Ford has the most recalls out year to date btw. Gm can’t build a 6.2 V8 that doesn’t pop, and Toyota just had a massive engine recall.
We either pick what our parents drove, or who ever has the coolest color. Manufactures will continue to build garbage, and raise prices and do you know why? Because the consumer keeps buying and the world keeps turning.
I still wouldn’t mind one of those orange TRD Pros’sI mostly agree. I thought for sure I was going to buy a Toyota Tundra...then the engines starting blowing up. Yeeeahhh.
Yeah, that color isI still wouldn’t mind one of those orange TRD Pros’s

Damn…what a hell of a response, well said brother. This is a valuable thread, that shows a problem, and resolution - I'd hate to see it get locked if we resort to name-calling.
That said, it's easy to look at the thread with 500 comments, 20+ pages, and thousands of views - and greatly overestimate the frequency of this particular problem. That does not diminish the value of those of you who ACTUALLY had this happen, and I look forward to seeing it get resolved (but remember, as Billy Strings once told me - only break one law at a time). Sometimes the venue for discussion lends itself to bias, and then confirmation bias. If you ask everyone at the airport bar how they think the airlines are doing for timeliness, imagine the answer you'll get (with the on-time-passengers already boarded, or at least most of them). For ALL the RHO's we've sold, I have had one customer report that this issue happened to them - after having service work done at another dealership. I'm not good at math, but that's 1/650+. There certainly may be more we don't know about.
These are incredible machines with great complexity, and we ask them to do the incredible things for which they were designed. They are great big hunking pieces of engineering, technology, and materials working at 100mph+ in groundspeed while computing at a level that was unheard of only a few years ago, and we pay high prices for them. Ram catalogs every single warranty claim (they pay!) which is their data source, and makes continual improvements. They don't wait for an arbitrary birthday (model year) or announce every improvement made (unless a recall is issued).
The only "trend" we saw was the frequency of dead batteries... but that peaked LAST August (note: before RHO production) and was across multiple trim levels on 1500s AND Grand Cherokees - so it wasn't just a truck problem OR hurricane, it was wider. That has subsided WAY down to a level that wouldn't even make a water cooler convo. Zero? Never, we touch too many vehicles in a month for anything to be zero. But by and large, our customers have had fantastic experiences with the RHO so far. While many live far away and we wouldn't see for service, we DO hear from past customers plenty on their overall enjoyment/issues from time to time.
I guess to sum it up - be nice to each other, be nice to your trucks, and enjoy washing it driving it looking etc.
(then again, I'm biased aren't I)
I don't know, I think I will wait another decade before I order...just to be sure. You guys probably already know but 1st time I saw ram officially acknowledge it and say there is a fix coming. Thats awesome for owners. Congrats on making enough noise to get change to happen. PropsView attachment 16357
Just wait until the next "version" of the sporty truck comes out.....better safe than sorry.I don't know, I think I will wait another decade before I order...just to be sure.
Picked up my 26 RHO in Irvine at Tuttle Click. I saved 8500.00 off MSRP.Do we know the engine is meeting the advertised specs after the software update that is supposed to fix a mis-fire condition & preserve the CATs?
I remember someone saying, a while back when RHO was 1st hitting dealers, that the HO tune was the reason for the CATs melting. So, they potentially fix the tuning that melted the CATs & that did not affect engine output? And, the top speed is now limited to 98 MPH. Hmmmm….
Someone with an RHO…do you have access to a 4 wheel dyno? If yes, get numbers before & after the software update…PLEASE! It’s the only way to be sure.
They do. I just bought one. Goes over 100mph. Got it up to 106mph to be exact. Here exact words were "this will not be fixed, and will be the new top speed moving forward" what that means for 2026 models, I have no idea. But I'm willing to bet new trucks on the lot do the advertised 118 mph.
I can only hope and pray that if I order mine it has zero issues like you guys. Not even one.Just wait until the next "version" of the sporty truck comes out.....better safe than sorry.
If they fix it I will be happyRam will be contacting you directly
And sending an engineer to fix it. They won’t buy it back. But you can certainly try.

I'm with you - my dealer said that out of the now 80 plus RHOs they have sold, mine and one other have had multiple/persistent issue(s) -they said other case had been resolved with no further issues at this time. Parts availability is a real issue. As with others, my vehicle has been sitting at dealer since June 23rd (I have put some of the issues on the problem tracker) - a couple of issues have been fixed and the next part needed is not expected until August 22nd. I have had truck 6 days since taking delivery in early June. Dealer has been exemplary - I have loaner and constant communication. I will not say more right now as things are developing, but the dealer and RAM are working on a couple of resolution options. On the other hand, a couple of other RHO owners said they have had zero issues, so go figure. I have not had a new vehicle with issues like this before so I think it is luck of the draw and the dealership is working all avenues to resolve. They can't fix it if they don't have parts! This was better, much more elegant way to say what I said. Thank you. And yes, only about 120-130 trucks affected.
I stand by my original comment, that is, all vehicles are mass produced junk produced for profit. Some manufactures handle it better than others. Pick what you like, hope for the best, and drive it!![]()
Thanks for this info as it's very to the point and valuable to me. If the 2 out of 80 is true I can live with those odds. I tend to believe them, we have a history with them and they have been consistently transparent and proactive. We have had problem free vehicles from them but more importantly, when there is a problem, they have responded in a prompt and reasonable manner. I love this truck for the little time I have been in it. We have vehicles from all makes and there have been issues with every brand. We bought a new GMC at the same time as the RHO and it broke down first time we took it out and has been in the shop for a month. You pays your money and takes your chances. Thanks for this info as it's very to the point and valuable to me. If the 2 out of 80 is true I can live with those odds.
