Yes. They called them “rolling locks”I did the same about a month ago after my oil change and asked for the same fix with the locks but struck out. Was your dealer able to get them to work?

Great, thanks! Surprised Koons service dept couldn’t get it figured out. Will try again at the next oil change.Yes. They called them “rolling locks”.
I contacted my dealership and asked for the update to be installed to take my RHO back to the advertised top speed of 118. The dealership said they would check on it. They got back to me a few days later and said Chrysler was not allowing the update? I told them I am very unhappy about this. How can it be advertised as 118mph and then taken down to 98 without my permission or consent? I have paid a lot of money for a high performance truck only to have it neutered without my permission. They said there was nothing they could do for me and to contact Ram and request a ticket be opened. They gave me the phone number and instructions. I am very, very unhappy about this. I would like this either fixed or all of my money back and they can have my RHO back. I don’t want to pay that much for a truck that is not fully capable. I have been a very loyal chrysler dodge jeep ram customer since 1998.Anyone get notified that the “fix” for the 98mph speed limit is ready to be installed?
I’m not holding my breath. The last software “fix” that I was promised in early January ‘25, is still non-existent.
Not surprised, but hoping your dealer didn’t talk to the right people & a fix is coming.I contacted my dealership and asked for the update to be installed to take my RHO back to the advertised top speed of 118. I would find an stellantis executive in linkedin and reach out to see what they do. You don't hear what you want to hear then I would sued them with the expensiest lemon lawyer you can find. They make all the money from the defendant anyways.I contacted my dealership and asked for the update to be installed to take my RHO back to the advertised top speed of 118. You want people to sue because it's taking a while to get a fix to allow certain vehicles to go over 100mph? I could understand if it didn't run or something....I would find an stellantis executive in linkedin and reach out to see what they do. I agree with RHOfan, dealers don't really waste bullets when dealing with corporate for us little people. They dont push as hard as we need to.
If is not working as advertised they need to buy it back and give him his money back or they are liable for a lawsuit. You want people to sue because it's taking a while to get a fix to allow certain vehicles to go over 100mph? I could understand if it didn't ruin or something....
Thank you. I went to the dealership I purchased it from and that did all of the repairs leading to the limited top speed. They said there was nothing they could do. I will share your post with them. Fingers crossed. This is what I found
I believe Stellantis has a huge communication issue.Thank you. I went to the dealership I purchased it from and that did all of the repairs leading to the limited top speed. They said there was nothing they could do. I will share your post with them. Fingers crossed.
A complimentary oil changeThis is what I found
He's busy traveling overseas...eating pizza and whatnot.Whatever happened to @itsmekylep? Seemed he was the only one somehow able to get info from Stellantis. And then it was gag ordered. And now even that's dried up and gone.
Is a class action hard/expensive to set up? It seems like a slam dunk case here considering they sold you X and then turned it into Y.
Sure he is not in Mexico testing the top speed? He's busy traveling overseas...eating pizza and whatnot.
That's right. I forgot. He's busy traveling overseas...eating pizza and whatnot.
I'd post a pic of him, but I don't want y'all to get jealous of his glorious moustache. That's right. I forgot.
A blinking check engine light was the reason I got the ECU update that fouled the top speed & HP gage. I haven’t had a CEL since the update. As of yesterday:
“Hi Kyle — I chatted with the team late on Friday and some of the final approvals are in progress. The team needs to write dealer instructions etc. which then need to be approved, which all takes some time.
I know it’s been a bit of a wait, and for that I apologize, but I want to reaffirm that things are moving forward.”
Unfortunately I understand this all too well from working in the powersports industry, but I’m starting to think there’s more going on behind the scenes. Software is compete, but they need to print a piece of paper for these technicians that says:
1. Plug vehicle into power supply
2. Connect to computer
3. Select file
4. Click download.
I was very patient and willing to wait, but this is getting ridiculous. My continuous phantom check engine lights aren’t helping either.
