New info on 98 mph top speed.

98MPH - lie. Last night I tried to hit 100-110 and got stuck at 98

21MPG - lie. I have tried driving slow, consistent, tried different fuel octane. At best 13.3MPG

A few issues but still happy. The only one that kills me is the 98MPH. Not that I always drive that fast but once in a while is good to have it available. $88K should come with a bit more honesty.

Dang yall are right, the 0-60, top speed, etc is gone from the 2026 page now.

My truck should be getting to the dealer soon and now I'm getting worried.

I think if a few guys refuse to take delivery until they have an answer (assuming their trucks only go 98) dealers will have answers real quick.

Quality issues with so many electric components one can say are expected. Sucks but… I just hate the lies. I might have still purchased the truck if they said 13MPG and governed at 98MPH. It is all about making an $88K decision with the right information.

That’s what they originally told me back in March. That I had the wrong software from those international models and that unfortunately that’s all that was available on the Ram tech computer. They told me to wait until they could get the correct software out.

That’s why I can’t understand why they 180’d from that to just telling me it is what it is.

I think this is the key to the whole thing, and we will soon find out that this entire ordeal was the result of the less-than-stellar-but-typical-response by Stelnatis and the dealership. This is likely in reference to TSB 19C somebody shared earlier, where some RHO's built for export were not properly speed limited as the governed speed they were programmed with apparently exceeded the speed rating of the tires.

The response you received from Stelantis is simply not acceptable if your vehicle was never intended for export. Your dealer should use the VIP inquiry process to get your truck restored.

I think this is the way, if we ordered a truck advertised with certain specs, we should not be taking delivery in this detuned version.

It looks like it was actually a recall, and not even a TSB, since it was a safety issue. It's outlined in there. It's a process the dealer is supposed to use to determine which vehicles are involved. Your dealer should never have applied this recall to your vehicle, and both you and the dealer need to shout from the mountaintops to get RAM's attention to fix it.

That sounds like a lazy response from the dealer. That PCM flash was supposed to be for EXPORT RHO's specifically identified by VIN via the VIP inquiry process. Sounds like they didn't do that. Have you even tuned your ECU/PCM or watched somebody do it? If you don't do it right, you can brick your ECU/PCM (and in turn, your entire vehicle,) and thereby you have to be very cognizant of what you're doing.

Your dealer should be chastised by RAM for doing that in the first place, (it was for INTERNATIONAL RHO's bound for export!), and then to compound the situation, the response you received from Stellantis is more than just unacceptable, if I were Kuniskis, I wouldn't want people that incompetent working for me.

Oddly enough, they weren’t able to program the first one and ordered a second one. A field rep. Then came and programmed the pcm, rather than the dealer. That’s what I was told anyway.

Ask them why they flashed your PCM with the EXPORT RHO tune? If they are trying to say that was the only tune available for them to select, they are wrong. (It may have been, but they needed to escalate that until they found the right one.) RAM has to do better.

You might even ask them if your truck is still compliant with US Federal emissions, since your PCM is now tuned with the EXPORT tune? Maybe that will get their attention. If not, file a complaint with EPA or maybe even NHTSA since it was a safety recall.

I've got one currently enroute to MD that I should have in 1-3 weeks and this has really got me grinding my teeth on the whole deal.

This will be really interesting to find out. I would insist on testing this before signing.

On the one hand we're told it's an export PCM flash in error. But if it's coming from the factory this way that's obviously bullshit.

I just sent them an email to see where exactly the truck is at on the map and to see if they had any solid info on this thread in relation to the 26's. I'm sure Anthony is probably aware of this thread, but the fact that he hasn't chimed in yet (or at least I haven't seen it if he has) might mean they can't get a straight answer from Ram HQ either.

I'll see what Ashley reports back and go from there.
