I’m definitely eager in seeing power gains on stock map.

Dyno dudes are backed up, so next Wednesday is dyno day!

Saying this more for the masses.

A dyno is a delta tool. Used to measure the difference or delta changes make.

Not to compare one peak dyno number to another across the country.

I am focused on deltas as I know you can have variances from dyno to dyno, mustang to dynojet ect...

All dynos are not calibrated the same. you just wan to make sure you're in the ballpark for a baseline from others results but 20hp+ variance from a different dyno is very common.

Example:

Diablosport made 500hp and 590 lb ft on their dyno on map 3
On map 3 I made 543hp and 614lb ft on the dyno I used.

I'm sure it would be 500hp and 590 lb ft on diablsports dyno, or a lot closer.

Those numbers are within an appropriate range to have deltas with confidence of accuracy.

1/4 mile trap speed is also a really good indicator or power. Dynos lie, trap speed doesn't. If you want to compare against others results look at trap speed numbers. I was trapping consistently at 102-103mph pre down pipes.

Agree with everything you said, but I’m also curious what your experience is with variance between different days. I assume ambient temp and humidity plays a role. I also assume in your case elevation is equivalent between runs… as you’re using the same dyno shop and track.

most dynos displayed a "corrected" number that takes into account atmospheric conditions and elevation. This is where they can differ greatly at times though.

That being said I use the same truck on the same dyno at the same location with similar weather conditions. I want apples to apples.

Solid peak gains as well as great power improvements across the RPM range. Peak torque is delivered almost 300 rpm sooner with massive bottom end gains.

Dyno results with a Cat6 piggy back. Stock cats (red), PSP Fat Cat (Blue)

Giant bottom end and midrange improvements.
+100hp at 3250rpm and a staggering 150 lb ft!!!
+50hp at 3500rpm and 80 lb ft!!

Peak gains of 15 hp and 45 lb ft

The joys of dynos.... It's not quite apples to apples as the baseline didn't get the sauce at the same RPM. It was the last run when we did baselines and he was already spinning 2700-ish rpm. I would take below 3500 with a grain of salt. The gains are definitely there but not as exaggerated as that graph depicts.

That being said power seems to move about 300 rpms down in the band, hitting much sooner. These vehicles make peak boost at 4k-ish stock. So anytime your moving peak torque below that you're making good progress.

The other dyno with the cat6 is a better bottom end comparison.
