RHO range and MPG

1750 ish miles so far. Overall 13.4 mpg.

I think my problem is it wants to be driven harder. My rho doesnt care if i try and baby it. Getting sub 13.5 mpg regardless.

Thats a great looking truck for sure!
Thank you. On my 5th Ram and had 3 Laramie's with two being sports and I like this 2025 Ram better than any of the Rams I have owned hands down! Also, it will leave my other 5.7 Rams in the dust for sure. I have 3900 Miles and MPG now average has exceeded the 5.7 but not by much. Most enjoyable truck ever to drive. You can hardly read it, but it gets 18 mpg average.

As of this morning, my truck says I'm averaging a terrible (but FUN) 11.9 mpg.

99% of my weekly driving is in-town, with an occasional short highway trip.

Longer highway trips are very infrequent.

2500 miles averaging 13.6. I was doing better but I found out how cool is to hit that Sport mode. Florida BJs 93-gas after the discounts is less than 3 bucks a gallon, so sports mode it is. 😎

I had a 240 mile trip on Saturday that was 98% hwy. Cruise at 78 and the best I got was 14mpg on the way there and overall 13.6 for the whole trip.

Im right on with you basically. 2200ish miles and in the mid 13s. Maybe i use sport mode more than I realize.

My 2cents/experiment, Why? for upcoming road trip, into Canada I don't want to have to pay their prices for fuel, I will be pushing my range making it back from destination and back state side to fuel up again. I typically cruise at 60-65 (55 speed limits) I would say my commute is 30/70 city/highway, county roads with occasional spirited bursts. knowing that ethanol free can give some milage gains I wanted to do a little experiment before my trip with a tank or 2, so this week I stopped at one of the stations near me that has 90 ethanol free for $.5 more then the 91, mixed with ~1/4 tank of 93. So after Break in I was averaging about 14.6MPG computer calculated with Mixed driving on 91/93 octane with ethanol. Now the computer is showing 17.3 right now after 150miles into this tank. Has anyone else seen similar improvements running ethanol free?

Wow. This will be great to track if you can try another tank or two continuously.

Similar here. My commute is mostly highway, cruise control set at 80, and I get high 12's-mid 13's avg. I had hoped for better, but not disappointed

Can you not just upshift the paddle and have it change?
I tried the paddles and couldn't figure out how to turn that shit off -- short of putting it in Park -- so now I just tap the shifter over to sport, get the upshift and then tap it back to drive. Easier than messing with the paddles. MPG is now up to 15.9 over my first 1200 miles - which have admittedly been driven like a grandma, but I wanted confirmation that if driven carefully, the EPA estimates can be achieved -- at least in areas with fairly low 60-70 mph highway speeds. Now that I have that established, the next tank will be driven like I drove my old truck and I'm expecting probably 14 - just like most V8s. Just the nature of the beast. I still think this powertrain would have been way better and more efficient in the real world had they stuck to the 3.4-3.5L size that others (Ford/Yota) use. Unless you are on a dead-level or downhill stretch, or have a tail wind, this motor simply doesn't have the off-boost nuts needed to keep the truck moving at anything over 70.

Mine favors 35mph zones with a slight tailwind for 15+mpg... Otherwise im watching the fuel level drop. Adaptive cruise is the only reason i truly think im able to keep it overall mid 13's.

Jesus. Good for you. Whitmer does everything in her power to keep us above $4. Gotta fund that next FBI-sponsored kidnapping for attention.

Same!

Right around 10k miles now and mpg started to creep up I'm seeing 15 mpg often even with running highway at 70-75 mph.

Pleasantly surprised after barely hitting 13's most days up to this point.

So there's hope for us all!

I would love to see that! 😂 Still seeing mid-12’s on a 70/30 hwy/cty mix. Fun, but thirsty.

In most, you just hold the right paddle to make it go back to auto.

Took a 400 mile round trip today. Truck is at 1200 miles now and today I noticed that when my low level light came on it still read the range. Before it would just read low fuel at a 1/4 tank. I got it down to 14 miles left before fueling up. Took 31.5 gallons and I got 421miles of out that tank. I noticed after the 500 mile break in it started creeping up. Went from 12.5 to 13.3 (13.8 cluster readout) mixed but with lots of highway. Let the hands free drive handle most of the hughway drive. After fueling up my range read 435miles.
Cruise set at 75mph

2500 miles to Vegas and back from OKC, plus a couple weeks of driving around the city...80mph freeway most of the time, averaged 14.6 for the entire trip.
Custom mode with Sport trans and suspension, Street everything else.

So I just hit my first 200 miles. Took about 1.5 weeks. I turn off the auto shut off and most miles are city miles.. I averaged 14.3 miles so far since I left the dealer. I don’t baby it exactly but I am breaking it in. Love to hear the exhaust..
