Struggling to get over 12MPG! But I don't spend much time on the freeway. When I brought mine home from AZ, doing 80+ on the 2 lane roads, it wasn't much different. Noticed its better on larger freeways with more cars (punching through the air with me).
Ill have to check on the gear hang. Could depend on your trans settings. But I rarely get a stretch long enough to get it to 8 gears. A live in a pretty urban*ish area compared to most I would imagine.Mine lingers around 12MPG too. On highway I usually do 80-85 on highway and at that speed and RPMs it shows 10-11 MPG.. At 65 it shows 20mpg. Truck is built to have low 0-60. It needs 10 speed to have a good mpg on highway lol. Also noticed on regular street when driving around 50 it keeps the lower gear even when just cruising, I sometimes manually shift to higher gear
I’m at 8,500 as well. Maybe that’s when it gets slightly better. LolI saw this also early on for the first 3 or 4k, but ever since first oil change Ive noticed better mpg(14 to16 range) and i dont see it hang in 7th gear as much as it did prior. Just under 9k currently.
It'll go up. I'm at 3k miles. Now getting about 600 miles per tank. Im running 44 psi and always 93 octane and do not use cruise control. The second I use sport mode it drops by 3 mpg.Mine is slightly going up now that im at 2000 miles. I still have averaged 11 ish since I owned the truck but on the last tank I drove less aggressive than usual since I had the wife and puppy on a trip plus we were crawling in the mountains and got around 13.
Makes sense! I usually run in sport or baja mode so that's likely not helping lolIt'll go up. I'm at 3k miles. Now getting about 600 miles per tank. Im running 44 psi and always 93 octane and do not use cruise control. The second I use sport mode it drops by 3 mpg.
I heard some trucks were flashed to run on 2 cylinders and half a turbo, such a shameI heard some trucks got flashed and now only have access to 6 gears...that'd definitely explain the poor gas mileage.
But still running 98 MPH !!!!I heard some trucks were flashed to run on 2 cylinders and half a turbo, such a shame
I heard it was that new Mopar 87 tune.I heard some trucks were flashed to run on 2 cylinders and half a turbo, such a shame
Serious question… are you running 6 psi higher than the recommended pressures to try and achieve better fuel mileage? It'll go up. I'm at 3k miles. Now getting about 600 miles per tank. Was wondering during first 1k miles if I would ever achieve 15 so I upped the psi. Whether it made a difference- IDK. Having 93 in the tank seems to help. First tank ( dealer freebie) was 50% donkey piss I suspect as truck was hesitant to ever use 7th and 8th.Serious question… are you running 6 psi higher than the recommended pressures to try and achieve better fuel mileage?
