Roar Pedal

If I remember correctly, their "company address" is an apartment in Delaware or some shit lmao. Not surprised.

Just a word of caution. I tried installing mine and I think I did it wrong. All sorts of lights and warnings up. I was able to reset the whole thing thanks to some of you in this thread! (THANK YOU). I was a bit spooked given all the issues with these trucks and mine only had the speed issue that was fixed with the latest update.

I decided to return the Pedal Roar but the customer service which I assume is a dude just started arguing that his product is the best and there is no issues with it. I acknowledged that more than likely it was me and based on his 30 day return policy, I wanted to return it. The dude went radio silence. 2 more follow ups and nothing.

My point, if you buy it make sure you make it work or else it will just sit there. I wont argue with this idiot anymore over the price but sure as hell if I was to see him we would exchange a few words instead of hiding behind a damm computer.

I guess I will re-grow a pair later this week and try to re-install it.

Damn. Sounds like gas pedals aren’t the only Sensitive thing coming from Roar.

Update: even though I did the whole open door, leave key inside thing I still experienced a check engine light. Today I disconnected both batteries and waited well over an hour. Reconnected Roar and immediately a check engine appeared. However, after driving around a bit the check engine light disappeared. Maybe the computer needed to recalibrate or something - who knows, the truck is basically a computer on 35s! LOVE my Roar!! Going to try Race mode, sport with launch control and see how sick it feels.

I decided not to install mine, it's still in the original package unopened. Roar doesn't respond to emails, their phone goes straight to a voicemail that's full. I still plan to return this, but if anyone is interested in one I bought mine with the $40 discount so I could pass this savings on.

Same here. The guy responded once and was to argue that his product is the best and flawless. My intention was never to criticize. I just felt like the downside of having issues long term was not worth the added benefit as first impression.

After his response, f.. him and I hope his company goes to hell. I bet he already banked on idiots like me and who cares.

For everyone else, unless you are 100% that this is the way to go, don’t buy it. If you happen to have fuck you money, then this is just another day and go right ahead and take the chance.

Same here, haven't installed yet and not sure I will.

Have had zero issues, Roar Pedal is fantastic. Install em boys, don't worry...but follow instructions, don't skip steps, and for the love of God, use the learn function!

I'm glad I didn't buy it last week when I was thinking about it.
I felt peer pressure from a couple of guys on this forum which I won’t name names (they know who yhey are 😂). In no hurry to install it if I ever do. Only 1500 miles in a no complaints and I do notice a delay in throttle response if I get on it but not bothering me yet.

It's easy, just follow the instructions. Do not run pedal without learning...it will not know where the limits of pedal travel are.
Y’all know, with the DS..there’s no learning. It just works. But the power added might scare ya ;)

Men only need apply

Chris

I installed mine with no issues and works great. I did not use the learn function at first. When I did use it, the peddle feels more responsive and was easy to do.

I’ve had mine installed for about 3 weeks. The installation advice from Mikey and whoever suggested playing with the connection mechanism to learn how it works was invaluable. It’s working great with no issues and makes a huge difference in the responsiveness and my enjoyment of the truck!

Sorry for those of you who have had customer service issues. That’s not cool at all.

🚨Word of caution to everyone 🚨: My truck slammed on the brakes when I was reversing into a parking spot earlier today, and now my Roar Pedal isn't working at all. Even though the digital readout is showing connected.

I'm assuming it's the throttle controllers fault, and not something to do with the truck.

Not sure 100% what happened or if the Roar is at fault, but I think it's coming out for good today, I don't need that shit happening on the highway.
My truck does this shit. I don’t have the roar controller. If it randomly thinks something is behind you even though you know you are clear it will slam on the brakes and it’s annoying and embarrassing. Will also scare you lol. I bet it’s the truck to be honest.

Yeah dude, I should have actually edited that post but I forgot about it. The Roar Pedal is working fine now ever since that one time. Had to have been something with the truck. The odd thing though is I've had all that shit turned off since day 1, and even confirmed it in the settings after. So obviously the thing has a mind of it's own.

Definitely has a mind of its own like when my battery was shot and my window wipers were going off even though all lights were off on the truck and it was off and locked lmao. I like to have the emergency braking on for front collision on low sensitivity (it’s actually saved me a couple times..) but I do NOT like the backup one. Truck has no idea where it’s trajectory is.

I got one sitting on the shelf waiting for my truck to get here. If the Mopar tuner is a rebranded DS I will just get one of those instead. Ram said they were trying to expedite my second truck order since the first one failed inspection but so far just lip service.

Yeah the front can definitely be helpful. For me personally, I just don't trust the stuff. I used to, until one time my 2020 Kia Stinger Gt2 slammed on the brakes in the middle of the highway.

Long story short, there was a guy in front of me who was making a right turn off the highway, so I started accelerating. I knew he was making turn, but the car didn't, and it slammed on the brakes from 70mph. Admittedly I was kind of close, but he was turning. Scared the living shit out of me because I didn't expect it. Thank god no one was behind me, or I'd probably have gotten flattened by a tractor trailer. Ever since then, every driver aid has been turned off.

Especially here in NJ where it's perfectly normal and common to ride everyone's ass. These things are wayyy too sensitive. Even the Kia was on the lowest setting.

That’s wild man, I had a 2020 stinger GT1 before this. I never had that issue, but I did when I drove my moms Infiniti QX. Same exact situation you mention. Damn near got me in an accident from it (trying to save me). Never trusted it on that car again.

I loved that Stinger though! They are excellent cars aren't they? It's a shame they never really caught on simply because there's no BMW badge.
