Audio upgrade ideas?

Man not sure what the issue is, but my system sounds awesome! I’m using Spotify and the equalizer setting, hits hard for me, crystal clear audio.
You would take one listen to the Focal system I put in the last truck and it would all make sense. Ignorance is bliss bro, don't ever listen to an aftermarket system, it will ruin you.

So true. I had Focal, Audison, AudioControl, and JL in one build. Sheesh. But I'm trying to stay away from going down that road again

It's calling you like Kermit from the darkside.

I’m running Focal’s in my barndominium, I have 23 speakers throughout my compound and pool areas along with multiple subs. All zoned through my Heos. I’m also running JL Audio throughout my 61 Lincoln. I used to own McIntosh amps but sold them when I needed the $. My point is, I know sound very well. I’m just saying for a stock system it’s good enough for me, although I would like a 10” sub with a JL amp or similar.

Right on! I added the Kicker Hideaway 10, just enough extra for now.

Did you have to use a line in adapter to connect?
Yeah the shop used an adaptor that added RCAs and a bass knob. Lost the ANC system though...two things happened after that. First, a little more wind and tire noise now, not a ton, but noticable when the music is off. Second, you can really hear the stock exhaust now under heavy acceleration, kinda like it.

Perfect thank you

Im definitely not big into car audio, but I have to say my 2020 Alpine system was significantly better than the HK in my RHO. I wish I could speak the language to describe what I’m hearing, but this system just sounds like it isn’t crisp and has a lot of background white noise while playing. It seems to do best with mid set below 0, but still sounds flat.

Overall, just really surprised this is somehow the “upgraded” system as I was quite happy overall with my Alpine. This HK leaves much to be desired.

I had a few Grand Cherokees with the Alpine 9 speaker. Best stock system I've ever had, sounded amazing. Alpine is certainly better at this than Harman Kardon.

What is your source, because through Spotify it’s very crisp and punchy.

For example, listening to this song, it sounds awesome with these Spotify equalizer settings.

SiriusXM and Amazon Music thru CarPlay. Only difference here is I was wired CarPlay in my 2020, and my RHO is (thankfully) wireless.

Interesting. And you have it set for surround in the audio settings in uconnect?

Is your truck L0? I'm probably going to go ahead with sound treatment on the doors. Did you apply any treatment to the center piece of the door? I can see you treated the exterior and interior pieces. Just curious as I'm used to soundskins but they don't have a kit for Ram.
yes it’s L0. By center piece in think you’re talking about the carrier plate assembly. I did a tiny bit around the speaker but it has so many 3 dimensional pieces to it that I find it to be quite rigid and doesn’t really need treatment. Main culprit is the outer door skin. Then the interior panel. I used Resonix, which based on 3rd party testing it appears to be the best on the market.

Also, did you wrap all the cables, door handle cables, lock cables? I secured the metal speaker covers on the passenger door but i can still hear something touching/vibrating/rattling within the door.
The cables really seemed to be routed pretty well with no vibrations and most of them were wrapped in Tessa tape already. There was only one cable on each door that I put some compliant 3mm foam under to stop it from potentially rattling. I also used tiny pieces of butyl rope on all the interior panel clips to keep them in place and from rattling. It may be that when snapped back in they don’t rattle but I just did it anyways cause they move all over the place when the panel is off. Another thing I used was the 0.5” fiber mat by resonix on the interior panel. It helps absorb sound but also acts as a decoupler so items on the panel don’t rattle or vibrate against the carrier plate assembly.

I think the Harmon design in the ram just isn’t it. I had Harmon in my stinger 15 speaker system and it was very good. Super crisp, clean, loud and decent bass from the two under seat subs. I miss it.

Yeah, it's just ok.

I just blew one of my rear speakers and it sounds so bad.

Hopefully this doesn’t happen to any of you guys, because it is currently backordered with no ETA at the dealer.

Crazy how if something goes wrong with these trucks, including a $2 speaker, it seems all parts are back ordered.

Which rear speaker blew? The only speaker I see that's back ordered is the sub. It shows existing orders ETA's to be Jun. 3
