It looks like it's an application/software issue. I won't use the app until it's patched.

I can totally see the app causing the battery drain issues but that doesnt seem to cause all the misfires and melting , yeah?

EDIT: Unless those issues are related because of low voltage which I guess is possible…

Knock on wood, but transport company dropped mine off two nights ago, app still installed, no issues. 600 mile trip today. Again, no issues. Love this thing.

BUT...

A software glitch on a Mars Lander (Part Metric, Part Standard) caused it to Lawn Dart into Mars...

I could definitely see a software error (fuel/O2 mix???) causing the creation of Catalytic Converter Lava...

I've made the choice to just embrace it. I purchased too many accessories to abandon ship now so it is what it is.

I've got good rental car coverage on my insurance and will just hope for the best. Also just make sure I stay on top of paperwork for a lemon case if it comes to it. Not much else I can do.

It is wild that I pre-ordered one of the new 2010 Camaros which I believe were nearly 100% brand new platform and GM was able to deliver early and I didn't have a single issue in the 5 years I owned it. Ram puts a different engine and massaging seats in a TRX and all hell breaks loose

...but they also had a hostile, Euro-trash CEO, hell-bent on moving production to Mexico.

I think things will get better with the new CEO very quickly.

Only thing I’m worried about is that ram announced that V8 Lives on.. Hemi 5.7, 6.4 and 6.2 supercharged arnt going away after all. Wondering if this will hurt the value of these trucks when they start putting v8 back in the new trucks because there’s a lot desire for v8s out there.

Man I don’t see that happening, to rewind back to big V8’s across their vehicles would cost them millions upon millions upon millions not to mention EPA fees.

Oh wow really?? I haven’t seen any official communication regarding V8’s are coming back. Can you forward that?

As for the people that think it may be an app issue, it's possible. With my Rivian, it has proximity unlocking through the phone as a key, so if it senses your phone nearby, it unlocks. But the problem with that is, when I was in my kitchen, near the drive way, my Rivian would unlock, and I wouldn't be aware of it. I move further away, into my living room, the Rivian locked. One guy posted on a Rivian forum when he mowed his lawn, his truck would lock and unlock every time he got close or away from his driveway. Rivian eventually included an option to turn off proximity locking at home, so we weren't constantly locking/unlocking our Rivians as we moved around our house/property. I don't have a RHO, I am not familiar with their app, so I don't know if there is an option to turn some stuff off/disconnect if you are at home.

I've seen many have had the dead battery or battery drain issue. I noticed my truck had the dash still on about 30 minutes after I ha locked the truck with the key nowhere nearby. Woke up this morning to a dead truck. Does anybody have a service report from their fix or any other information that can be provided to a dealer to speed up diagnosis and repair? My local dealer (didn't buy it there) had not yet heard of this issue. I'm trying to avoid a long drawn out process.

Contact Mandel Ram in D'Iberville Mississippi and talk to a Service Rep name Brandon. They had a 2025 Ram with the same issue. He told me the truck would not hold a charge. From my understanding issue was never fixed dealership took the truck back. But Branon could at least give you some information that may help.

I have a 2025 RHO and a 2025 KIA Carnival. The (4 month old) Carnival was rumored to have a problem with battery drain. I've not experienced it on mine. Both have been parked in the garage for the last week. Both have had the doors opened only 2 times.
I put a charger on the RHO when I first brought it home so it started at an elevated voltage. No settings have been changed on either.

I love how everyone just assumes tim will make ram use the v8 again. Unpopular opinion, the hemi v8 had reached the end of its development and was outdated compared to other manufacturers offerings, just because a motor sounds great

Well, I can confirm for everyone that its not an app issue. I'm pissed as I woke up at 3 in the morning to leave for vacation with my family and the truck is completely dead. Wouldn't even let me unlock the truck I had to do it manually. I used a jump box to get it running and it drives and runs fine but it's lit up like a Christmas tree. I never had the app downloaded or even enrolled. So it is not an application issue. Dropping the truck off at the dealership's front doorstep luckily I have another vehicle to go on vacation with.

This is what I've been wondering as well! How are dealerships and ports dealing with this issue? They can't be keeping chargers on all these trucks sitting around!

Just FYI..
There are good number of 1500 models are experiencing the same issue, since last June. Clearly RAM is playing deaf. 6 months later and STILL no solution. Oh, did I mention Grand Wagoneer!!
