Hi everyone! I just received the below update:

FANTASTIC NEWS! We are finally moving forward with the Digital Key launch! As we've been saying since October, this is a limited, rolling launch, to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

The current launch is for vehicles built in 2024, which means that there could be folks on this forum who receive the update this week. The initial launches for any type of over-the-air update are always focused in the Metro Detroit area. For those whose VINs we have been collecting who are 2025 builds, we are still waiting to hear when the 2025s will be launched.

As a reminder, you do have to have the feature listed on your Window Sticker to be eligible for it. We did have a few people reach out early on who did NOT have it, so we just wanted to make sure to address that again.

This update enables Ram Digital Key on your iPhone® or a compatible Android™ device which allows you to unlock and start your vehicle in place of your key fob. Please visit the Mopar YouTube channel for more information on how to set up and use Ram Digital Key.

As we hear more information on additional launch timings, including when to expect 2025 builds to be included, we will share it.

What is it listed on the window sticker as?

Hannah, you mentioned it must be listed on the Window Sticker. I have a question about that. It is not on my window sticker but if I head over to Mopar.com and look at the Vehicle Equipment Tab under "Other" it clear shows Smartphone As A Key Capable.

So how do I interpret what you have said versus a Clear designation on the Mopar website for my VIN number???

It’s kind of laughable that they’re still advertising “Smartphone as Key” as a major feature on the Ram website. Yet 99% of us, including those that have had their trucks since 2024 still don’t have that feature available.

When I got my Gen 3 Raptor in 2021, Blue Cruise autonomous driving was all over the marketing material, the window stickers, etc. Ford soon realized that Blue Cruise can't work on a Raptor with all of the additional off-road gear and sensors. It took well over a year, but we all got checks in the mail for not receiving a feature that we paid for. Was like $800 or something.

To make matters even worse, you know Stellantis’ legal department crafted this announcement.

Blatant attempt to rewrite history so if/when this whole thing crashes and burns they can try to say: “Well, it was never listed on your window sticker” to minimize the potential for class action liability.

Right, I have never seen anything saying it needed to be on the window sticker!

Can ANYONE say they’ve seen it on a sticker?

Just got off the phone with some aspect of customer support for the app(trying to “verify ownership” on the website) so I did ask about digital key and he did confirm a test group. He also stated that my vehicle will have it, twice after asking him to confirm. Nothing said about window sticker. So who knows!
