I'd give you a laughing emoji, but it's wearing thin. Although I can live without it, it's the principle of the matter. It would be better for Tim K. to simply say "Look, we bit off more than we could chew. We're working on it and for all current owners we're giving you a free subscription for the app features." Otherwise, RAM is acting just like every other global corporation who cares more about headlines (e.g., NEW TRX that looks the same as the RHO!) than delivering quality. I love my RHO and it hasn't had any major issues, but the lack of attention to detail is discouraging.

Thats a great idea.
17.99 is already too expensive anyways. Other brands like BMW is 9.99.

As soon as we get some sort of confirmation that the update specific to Digital Key activation is back in progress, we will let you all know. Our expectation is still that we will have those "rolling" launches and that we can get forum members into the initial one/s.

As always, we are sorry that this was delayed from October and continue to look forward to getting this out to all of you!

My truck updated, and I now have the digital key tile in the Ram app. When attempting to pair I start the process in the truck from the U-Connect screen and in the Ram App and on the screen in the Ram app it just says connecting while held up against the NFC wireless charger but will never pair. @RamCares

Hopefully this is a sign that they will start sending it to all of us. Keep us updated if you get it to work. Do you have the key card? The dealership sent me one but can’t activate it. The directions say I need to use the digital key tile to link it to my truck.

I did not originally get the key card with the truck, the dealer swiped it before I got the truck and “couldn’t find it”, then trying to get them to get me another one was an act of congress. They were no help. I finally bought a key card about a week ago when I found the part number for the key card. When I got the key card I tried to program it with the truck but it wouldn’t work. I’m a technician at a Ford dealership and took it next door to our sister store which is a CDJR dealer and the shop foreman tried to program the new key card for me but it wouldn’t let him. Apparently the key cards cannot be individually programmed at this time, not sure about the future. The DKCM had to be replaced and it comes with a new key card already programmed to it. So now I finally have a key card and the shop foreman did all of the available software updates while he was working on it. A couple days after that is when I realized the Digital Key tile showed up in my Ram app.

Are you in Clearwater off 19? The directions I got from my dealership said you need to use the tile on the app to activate the card.

No I’m in Texas. DFW area. I don’t think the dealer knows what they are talking about honestly. The truck is only used to activate the digital key on the phone. At the dealer there is an option in the WiTech that they use to program the key card but it does not work, it times out every time and fails. The only thing that worked was replacing the DKCM since it comes with a new key card that’s programmed. I would visit the dealer and tell them your card won’t work and they’ll probably jack around with it, call an engineer and then end up putting a new DKCM in it.

Hi everyone! I just received the below update:

FANTASTIC NEWS! We are finally moving forward with the Digital Key launch! As we've been saying since October, this is a limited, rolling launch, to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

The current launch is for vehicles built in 2024, which means that there could be folks on this forum who receive the update this week. The initial launches for any type of over-the-air update are always focused in the Metro Detroit area. For those whose VINs we have been collecting who are 2025 builds, we are still waiting to hear when the 2025s will be launched.

As a reminder, you do have to have the feature listed on your SALES CODE (corrected 2/13/26 from incorrect statement of window sticker) to be eligible for it. We did have a few people reach out early on who did NOT have it, so we just wanted to make sure to address that again.

As we hear more information on additional launch timings, including when to expect 2025 builds to be included, we will share it.
