Digital Key Activation

Let’s back up a second. As I recall, Ram was only enabling CY2025 builds.
@Coloradohiker - yours is a 1/22/2026 build.
@HOTT 3L - yours is a 5/6/2026 build.
Need some data from anyone who was successful in getting it enabled.

Mine is a 2026 and they enabled it.

Last 6 are 315178. The tile showed up after the email to the man himself, but mine just sits on the “connecting” screen on my phone and doesn’t pair. Mine was built late Jan early Feb this year.

No...I looked in the glove box, the bag in the glove box, and both compartments of the center console...not a digital key card to be found anywhere.

Sent an email on Tuesday and a follow up earlier today and still nothing. Wonder why everyone got theirs the next day after sending an email and I’m still stuck with no progress. Gotta keep waiting

Your truck shows the sales code GX6S (Smartphone as key capable). That’s different from a few RHO VINs that I looked up (which is GX6P). Not sure what the difference is in real life, but it is definitely not the same code.

GX6 is the sales code for SPAAK (sales codes are always 3 digit). The 4th digit will always be either S, P, or O.
S means that sales code is a standard feature of that trim level (standard on a tungsten)
P means it’s “part of a package” (included in the level 1 package on the rho).
O means it’s a stand alone option that can be added to a particular trim level.

I had to do it twice and set my phone on the charger sideways for it to work. When I added the digital key on UConnect then went to the app, it failed. Moving the phone the second time did the trick.

i got my call from FCA (as a result of my email to Tim). They had it setup on my app within a few hours. Here is the bad news.... I added it and it worked but when it asked me to connect my apple watch to the digitial key I accidentally clicked "later" which made me mad at myself. SOOOOo i tried to re-do the entire thing by deleting the key on both the truck and my app. Bad move.... Now i am getting errors trying to re-add it. The advisor i am working with said her tech can fix it but it may be monday before he can get to it. Very happy for their help but i want to RIP MY FAT FINGERING ASS HANDS TO SHIT AS MUNISHMENT. I have been waiting for months and effed it up because i fat fingered the wrong button. SMH

Is it possible that activation is restricted by the geographical area you are living in? I am in Phoenix, AZ? Anyone from Phoenix or AZ have theirs activated?

FYI, it’s OK to hit later. All you need to do (if you choose later) is go to Apple Watch wallet in the iPhone Apple Watch app and add the digital key. It doesn’t require you to do it in the Ram app. The iPhone and Apple Watch Wallets are connected, so it’s there but just not activated.

That’s the same one I got. I really had to adjust the phone so the top half was over the charger and leave it there. It definitely took.

I dont think you need it to use the phone app but it should have been with your truck. Maybe reach out to the dealer?

Even though i found the digital key tile in my ram app a few hours later same day, i finally did get an email response from a senior executive case manager a few days later with instructions. She mentioned that the pairing process has been challenging for some internal customers so sent the following diagram depending on if pairing an iphone or android:

I had 2 unsuccessful tries, so i closed the ram app and rebooted my phone the 3rd time, then it paired successfully pressing the top of my iphone against the wireless charger like shown.
