I’m in the same boat. Went to the dealer this morning to have the update installed. Took them 90 minutes and then they came out and said my RF hub was not communicating with some other job and the RF hub needed to be replaced before the update will work and the tile will show up in the app. Should have the part next week. IllI got sent a TSB 08-340-25, j gotta go to the dealer and update the trucks key module. Idk if it works, I’m away on a trip so i can’t do it.

Send ur service rep the bulletin I referenced, should bring the key online according to stellantisWow I’m probably in the same boat I bet.
My truck was built Dec 2024, took delivery on Jan 2025. Never have I ever seen a system update take place. No digital key yet (emailed top heads yesterday). My Ram App only has the two icons shown below . Definitely feel like my truck has the issue above. @bsjoiner did you have to schedule an appointment for something specific or did you just show up and complain about an issue ?

Did they say they needed to replace yours? It should be just a update unless it failsThis is helpful and discouraging. The digital key module is behind the rear seats. Not super accessible. Don't know how I feel about having a tech tear up the back of my new pickup to replace it. Unfortunately, there is always some sort of collateral damage that occurs when they are working on a repair that is not in the engine bay.
Step 1: Access the Module
- Move both front seats fully forward to maximize your rear workspace.
- Unbolt the rear seat assembly using your 18mm socket and lift the seats out of the cab.
- Locate the child seat tether anchors on the back wall. Remove the bolts securing them.
- Use a panel tool to carefully pop loose the plastic trim clips holding the rear cab carpet/insulation panel to the back wall. Pull the panel away to expose the sheet metal. [1, 2, 3]
Step 2: Swap the Hardware
- Disconnect the vehicle battery before touching any electrical modules to prevent short-circuiting.
- Locate the RF Hub module mounted on the driver's side of the back wall.
- Unplug the wiring harness connectors from the module by releasing their locking tabs.
- Remove the retaining bolts holding the old module, mount your new OEM RF Hub module in its place, and plug the wiring harnesses back in. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Step 3: Connect Programming Equipment
- Locate your truck's Security Gateway Module (typically under the driver's side dash, near the body control module).
- Unplug the factory harnesses from the SGW and plug them into your SGW Bypass Cable. Connect the other end to your OBDII interface.
- Reconnect the truck's vehicle battery. [1]
Step 4: Program the New RF Hub
- Open your programming software (e.g., AlfaOBD) and connect to the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) ECU.
- Navigate to the Miscellaneous Functions menu.
- Select the RF Hub Replace routine.
- The software will prompt you to enter your vehicle's security PIN.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to program your existing key fobs and your phone's digital key profiles to the new module. The software will write your truck's unique VIN to the blank module during this process.
- Once complete, clear all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and test the push-button start to ensure functionality. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
It's a fair point. I have not taken my truck in yet. I was going off of the TSB and assuming the module will need replacing. Hopefully, that is not the case.Did they say they needed to replace yours? It should be just a update unless it fails
Im in Broward County. Dealers are terrible down here.Received this email earlier today as well about the TSB needed to be updated. Most of the dealers around me in south Florida are dog shit and would like to know if someone here in south Florida knows a good tech that works at the dealer who can do this for me and I know will take care of my truck.
If not I’ll make an appointment sometime next week and go from there.

Did it just appear, or did you do something to get it to appear?Well, I managed to get my ram app to have the picture of my truck instead of the little generic ram head logo, but still not key tile
Out of curiosity, who is telling you this? All I've been told for past couple weeks is that software minions are going to activate the tile. Haven't got the tile that's all I got to say, I feel like I'm getting the run around.

If your digital key module is faulty and requires replacement, is it safe to assume the digital key card did not work in your truck?Update: I brought my truck to the dealer today to get the TSB performed, I work for every make and model dealerships for a living so I know all of these guys in service, managers, owners, etc. The service writer told me the time that FCA pays the tech for the service and said it wouldn’t be long at all. I waited almost 2 hours and then went and talked to the tech. When I walked up he said he was finished and the test failed time after time and recommended the module be replaced. He could see that the truck needed an update, it just would not except it.
Here’s the problem. To get the module replaced it has to be escalated which takes time going back and forth from the dealer to FCA. They told me FCA is going to ask them to jump through hoops performing diagnostics that he already did today before accepting to send a module out which could tie my truck up for a week. They know this truck is my livelihood and I need it for work.
I guess it’s time to send a follow up email and contact ram cares to get this escalated. I use this truck for work and need it to perform and work for me, not the other way around. At the end of the day having the digital key isn’t all that important, but now I’ve had time wasted and it’s becoming more of a principle of the matter that it should work as intended.
