Mine built November 24 but I'll be happy if they let me have it by end of year because definitely not included yetGood news @RamCares and thanks for the update. Looking forward to you getting the 25s in the mix. All you antique 24s let us know how it works for you.
So if we have a 26 we're SOL and have to wait the same amount of years as the 24's? This makes zero sense @RamCares ??????Hi everyone! I just received the below update:
FANTASTIC NEWS! We are finally moving forward with the Digital Key launch! As we've been saying since October, this is a limited, rolling launch, to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible.
The current launch is for vehicles built in 2024, which means that there could be folks on this forum who receive the update this week. The initial launches for any type of over-the-air update are always focused in the Metro Detroit area. For those whose VINs we have been collecting who are 2025 builds, we are still waiting to hear when the 2025s will be launched.
As a reminder, you do have to have the feature listed on your SALES CODE (corrected 2/13/26 from incorrect statement of window sticker) to be eligible for it. We did have a few people reach out early on who did NOT have it, so we just wanted to make sure to address that again.
You should see the following release notes for this specific update:
Spaak SOP 5.0 Release Notes:
This update enables Ram Digital Key on your iPhone® or a compatible Android™ device which allows you to unlock and start your vehicle in place of your key fob. Please visit the Mopar YouTube channel for more information on how to set up and use Ram Digital Key.
As we hear more information on additional launch timings, including when to expect 2025 builds to be included, we will share it.

Because the app doesn't let you drive away. Your phone is your key with digital keyCan someone explain why I would need a digital key when I have the App subscription.
Got it...So if you loose or break your phone you are double F#cked?Because the app doesn't let you drive away. Your phone is your key with digital key
No. Your fob still works.Got it...So if you loose or break your phone you are double F#cked?
This brings me back to my original question...If I have the App and my fob,why do I need a digital key.No. Your fob still works.
You don't. It's an option if you want to leave your fob behind. This brings me back to my original question...If I have the App and my fob,why do I need a digital key.
Y'all need to calm down a bit. They are rolling out a new feature. Yes, a feature that should have been working from the start, but here we are. They are getting it working now.So if we have a 26 we're SOL and have to wait the same amount of years as the 24's? This makes zero sense @RamCares ??????
The issue is that this feature was advertised and promoted by Ram, and was one of the key (pun intended) points in their ads. It was a feature that was listed and that we paid for, which we still have not received. The bigger insult is that Ram knows this feature does not work, yet still continues to advertise it to potential buyers. That is deceptive, unethical, and a textbook definition of false advertising.Y'all need to calm down a bit. They are rolling out a new feature. Whenever you deploy a new version or new feature, you need to roll it out to a small population of vehicles, in the off-chance that something goes wrong. If it does, you have a small population of trucks to resolve, rather than the damage that would have been done if it were rolled out to everyone simultaneously.
What does this mean? The 2024 trucks are the guinea pigs. They are the test bed. Once it is proven to work, deployment will accelerate. Pushing a software fix is super easy. When it is proven stable, it can likely be rolled out to everyone within a month.
I don't see this as a 2024 VINs waited a year and a half, now 2025s have to wait a year and a half, 2026s get it halfway though 2028. This is a sign of progress and hopefully a working solution. Once it is proven to work, I would bet most of us will get the new feature at roughly the same time.
Not sure why you are all so anxious to start driving around without your fobs anyway. If I could pick a single feature on this truck to be drastically delayed, it would be this exact one. I am willing to bet this is all working for everyone in the next couple of months and you will all still be driving your trucks around with your fob still in your pocket anyway.
Exactly! What the hell ever happened to the idea to have a finished product before it's actually released? Is that too much to ask these days?I'm on the same page as @Banger. I feel like across the board Ram rammedtech through just to say they had it only for it to fail. From the digital key to CarPlay being inconsistent, the rollout feels rushed and not properly tested. @Ganooch, good on you for giving them grace since they are now trying to do it right, but damnit it should have been that way from the get go.
Ram leadership has changed and hopefully whoever pushed this tech through or didn't properly have it tested has learned their lesson.
I was about to say that...ALOT of this can be attributed to the previous management and poor decisions made. Seems Tim being back is slowly fixing things.I blame poor leadership that is hopefully been replaced
Did any of you actually read my comment and the comment I was replying too???The issue is that this feature was advertised and promoted by Ram, and was one of the key (pun intended) points in their ads. The least they could do is take it out of their advertising until it is up and running.
They say they are getting it working now, but we've been hearing that on this forum for months.
I might have missed it but I don't think anyone said you were defending them but you. I said you are giving them grace which is nice.Did any of you actually read my comment and the comment I was replying too???
Please show me where I'm defending RAM here for this mess.
I responded to a particular comment where the poster was asking if the 2026 owners would have to wait as long as those with trucks built in 2024 had to wait.
I explained why that will likely not be the case. But sure, infer what you will about what I wrote. I honestly don't have enough time to care.
