Warning light illumination unavailable - service required

So I took the truck in, and they said there is a code. It’s something to do with the dash screen and they have never seen it. Was told they are reaching out to corporate for next steps…
Same code just came up on mine. 1,780 miles. Dash went off/on 6 times in a 5 mile stretch in town. Hooked it up and is saying something about cluster codes. Also my drivers side headlamp is having to be replaced because the DRL is blinking like crazy.

Mine gave the same message today.

For mine, I was at a drive thru and unable to roll down my window since I just had tint installed. Not thinking, I was in Drive with foot on the brake and popped the door open, which is what initiated this message. I’m pretty sure the truck is supposed to auto-engage the parking brake in this situation, but it did not.

Closed the door and hit OK and the message went away. It did come back on again later today, but no other related issues.

The dealership had my vehicle all day yesterday and said they had to order a new cluster. They’re waiting to install the new headlight until they put in the new cluster to see if it was all connected.

This is from my loaner Laramie. Got this as I drove it off the lot. 37 miles, service required! 😂

So, my Laramie is in for service, for the misfiring/transmission slipping issue that everyone seems to be having. That’s another story for another day I guess…but I’ve gotten this error on mine about 2 dozen times in the 4000 miles I’ve driven it so far. Happens a few times a week.

My cluster also crashed/rebooted once, and went completely black twice, WHILE DRIVING, during that time. Fun times…

Mine crashes and reboots about every mile or two. Love the truck but frustrated about these type things.

First I’ve read about misfiring/transmission slipping issue… this is common?

I don’t want to derail this thread, but that issue is more common than you’d think:

Anyone have the "Warning Light Illumination...." message and get it fixed?

My dealer has taken 1 crack at it, attempting a 2nd; curious if anyone has had success at a repair?

My Ram has been in for service for 2 weeks now. I'll let you know if it gets fixed. I'm not holding my breath, everyone is just guessing. Too bad because I do love the truck.

Mine pops up and my entire gauge cluster goes black for about 10 seconds then resets and comes back on. This happens approx every 3 minutes of driving. They have a new gauge cluster on order along with a new left headlamp assembly as the ballast is going out in it and it’s flashing on one side. But hey, still love the truck when I have it in my possession lol.

Mine has been in my garage 14 days since I purchased in March every other day it has been at the service garage. They have been chasing a P2AF6 code and well as blind spot monitor not working. They thought they had it all fixed a week ago and then two days later I got the warning light illumination mentioned above. They are still chasing it but I did get a call from two Stellantis techs not dealer techs that are working on it and they told me this message is related to the other issues they have been chasing, specifically the blind spot monitors. Once, if ever they get mine figured out I'll share more info.

Christ man, I am so ready to get out of this truck lol. Every single time I come to this site there is a new issue or someone else with an issue. I need to start looking harder at alternatives. Not sure I want to wait and hope my truck has no more issues.

What a reasonable, measured response.

You are right. After multiple issues with my truck, one with my kids with me which was concerning to say the least, I am being unreasonable looking at other options. Seeing more people post daily about new issues is no big deal, right? Who the fuck are you to pass judgement?

What you said was you were ready to move on because when you come on this site you read about other people's issues. That's baby shit.

If you're having actual issues I don't blame you at all for moving on. But you don't need to announce your departure.

Also I'm just a random guy on the internet. Or maybe a Russian bot. Either way, not worth getting worked up over.

I have the same warning on mine but it didn't appear until a day after the CEL appeared. Truck has been at the dealer for almost a week. They diagnosed a faulty 3 way coolant pump that needs to be replaced. They attributed the 'warning light illumination' message to the CEL and said once the repair is made the CEL and the message will resolve go away. I'll post updates when I get the truck back.
Excuse my ignorance but what is CEL?

This light keeps coming up on mine but comes and goes.

Oh that's just Matt...just give him the 'cool story bro' and y'all will be friends again. 🤣🤣

lol. I don’t need ignorant people like that to be my friend. I’ve been on this forum for months. My issues are well documented. Didn’t realize we had an RHO overlord who feels the need to call people’s posts out. I sign in everyday to see if there is any positive news or fixes for this truck but I usually find more people with issues. On top of that, we have people on the forum that think posting cunty comments is helpful. TO be fair, the majority of people have been helpful but I guess there always has to be that “one guy.”

Good morning everyone,

I’m starting this thread as I have searched the forum and haven’t really seen any posts about this warning coming up, unless I overlooked it lol.

This morning as soon as I turned the truck on, I received this warning light on the cluster but I have no CEL on. All my sensors and settings seem to be working fine. Blind spot is working beautifully as well. What exactly is the warning light illumination in question?

Has anyone else had this come up? Could it be battery related? I checked and my voltage is between 13.5-13.7 every day. Not sure if that’s too low that can cause that warning light to come up.

Thanks everyone and hopefully it’s something dumb that I don’t need to go to the dealer for.

I had the same one yesterday. Shit off the truck and restarted it a few minutes later and it was gone.
