That's exactly what the problem is. I brought my truck home on Monday, left the key card in the center console overnight, woke up to a dead battery on Tuesday morning. It's the little things the dealers don't tell you about (or even know about), right?! All is well now that I figured it out. Hope this solves it for you, as well.I'm going to reinstall the app this weekend, I think my issue was the key card in the truck
It crazy...app to literally do 5 things. I'm pretty sure my wifes Subaru app can control the damn climate control plus some other features and it's free.why the fuck do they charge money for the stupid app? it was free in my raptor. Thats such a scam
you are asking a question that ram owners have been asking for years.why the fuck do they charge money for the stupid app? it was free in my raptor. Thats such a scam
App does quite a bit but yeah lots of different sub options to get various functionality I'd madness, as is the pricing for an already top tier offering. It crazy...app to literally do 5 things. FYI, reinstalled app Saturday morning, no issues. It must have been the key fob...I'm going to reinstall the app this weekend, I think my issue was the key card in the truck
SameI noticed my battery voltage hovers around 13 - 13.2 with the occasional spike in the 14s. Most vehicles I've had are above 14. Curious if that's what everyone els is seeing on their RHO's. SO far no issues on mine.

This was mine when I woke up to a dead battery one day, would only go above 14v off throttle, once I pulled the key card put of the truck and put in new batteries I see 14.4 to 14.6 99% of the timeSame
WOW! I found with stop start I dip into 12's and did get battery light twice (required two start up sequences) so I turn that off each time. Not sure how to disable it permanentlyThis was mine when I woke up to a dead battery one day, would only go above 14v off throttle, once I pulled the key card put of the truck and put in new batteries I see 14.4 to 14.6 99% of the time
That’s interesting. I never have the key card in there. I took it out as soon as I got the truck home. This was mine when I woke up to a dead battery one day, would only go above 14v off throttle, once I pulled the key card put of the truck and put in new batteries I see 14.4 to 14.6 99% of the time
Pretty sure you need the taser or whatever to permanently shut it off. I’d like to, but can’t risk the warranty getting voided.WOW! I meant while driving/idle, with the autostart stop engaged it will drop to 12-12.2 with the engine offWOW! I found with stop start I dip into 12's and did get battery light twice (required two start up sequences) so I turn that off each time. Not sure how to disable it permanently
i never thought to look into it but my wife's infiniti has done the same thing..... QX80 we've had almost 8 years and on the 3rd or 4th battery..... my FX35 we've had longer and I think I've replaced the battery once in it....That’s interesting. I never have the key card in there. I find it very odd that it is so low.
It reminds me of something I had in my wife’s infinity. The voltage was always around that 13 to 13.5. Infinity has something that shuts the alternator off a couple minutes after starting and will turn on at certain times while you’re driving. Supposedly it’s supposed to help with the fuel economy, but it kills batteries like crazy. It’s a pretty known issue for infinity. Wonder if it’s something similar in these trucks.
There’s some videos of people cutting a wire under the hood for the Infiniti to bypass that system and it makes the alternator function like a normal alternator. We did it on our qx80 and have not had an issue since then.i never thought to look into it but my wife's infiniti has done the same thing..... This is awesome data. I had my battery die the first night I had the truck haha but no issues since. That said, if I do I am definitely going this route and getting the batteries myself. I'd be curious to know if the batteries hold up as well as the OEM batteries when the truck sits for multiple days.![]()

this was the other battery, FYI you need an e-torx socket to remove the studs from the stock battery and transfer to the new battery
I’ve been told by local dealer (yesterday) that the dead battery issue is related to one or more defective computer modules. They will fire up the RHO’s 70 computers repeatedly because the signals they send out are not being answered. Makes sense as the new architecture uses signals across several modules to create added functionality without added wiring. Lighter, more efficient & cheaper to build…This is awesome data. well that is not great. not sure what to make of these things as I only had the battery die one time and since it has not been an issue. That said, I have had other minor issues with idiot lights turning on but that could be explained with bad weather etc. Though I am pretty sure my gas gauge is no longer updating lol - been at 325 miles till empty despite driving it hard for 5-10 miles...no drop in gas level haha.I’ve been told by local dealer (yesterday) that the dead battery issue is related to one or more defective computer modules.
